Help! I can't see the Chinese characters in my browser...

Have a look at the following characters "你好吗"

If the above characters are represented by either squares or question marks, or any other symbol other than a Chinese character, you might be using an outdated web browser.

Try using the most recent version of Internet Explorer and see if that fixes the problem first.

It could also mean that your Language Support Pack is not active.

To activate your Language Support Pack you will need to go into your computer's "Regional and Language Options" setting under your control panel.

For windows XP users please follow the steps outlined below.

TO ENABLE VIEWING SPECIAL CHARACTERS

1. Click on the Start button.

2. Click on Control Panel (the Control Panel is directly accessible in the standard Start menu but it is inside Settings in the classic Start menu).

3. Click on "Regional and Language Options"

4. Select the Languages tab.

5. Check the "Install files for East Asian languages" option and click on the Apply button.
[NOTE: You may be asked to insert your operating system disc at this time].

6. Click Yes when you are asked to restart Windows.
