Learn Chinese Online With Rocket Chinese

Rocket Chinese is awesome. I used your competitor (the one that advertises on TV) and it was a waste of time. They say it teaches you like a child. The problem is you are not learning as a child. It is too hard to go back and review a particular word or subject and it has technical problems. I'd think that for it's price it would have them worked out. Rocket Languages is the best language program on the market. This is the second language that I have studied with Rocket Languages and it is tops.

It is helping me learn Chinese. My goal is to move to Taiwan this June. That is one of the main reasons I am doing Chinese today. I also like the challenge. Sometimes it is much easier than others. How can I learn Chinese faster ???

Hola Amigos, My name is Peggy Wang. I come from China, I bet there are not many Chinese people learning Spanish, because the language system is just so different from ours, that's why a good learning program is the key to success.

Why I decided to learn Spanish? The reason is that I live in New York city and there are just so many Latinos living here. In addition "Me gustaria viajar muchisimo" and one day I'm going to travel to Spanish speaking countries.

So I just thought to myself, well this is a good investment to learn Spanish, then I started to search for the right way to begin with.

I contacted "class offerings"... there are not so many, but they are also expensive, they all cost several hundred dollars for a few sections and they do not offer the test run to see if you like their program or not. Plus you have to commute to attend the classes.

Then I started to search on the internet and finally I chose the Rocket Spanish Program. The good thing about it, "success" is free. You can learn whenever you want, wherever you want and how many times you want to repeat the lessons.

When I started I didn't even have confidence in myself to continue, and just thought why not, it is free. The program they offer is so good that only after six sessions I have already built up my confidence in learning Spanish, and I have already started talking to colleges speaking Spanish like a pro. None of them believe that I've spent so little time learning that.

Once I built up my confidence I decided to continue to learn the language until I had a grasp of it as good as my second language English. Now I have finished the Level one (Premium) course and I cannot stop myself to continue and I'm completing the Level two course and I can already watch some Spanish news and shows and gather the gist of the meanings.

After Level one you can be a good Spanish speaking traveler but after Level two you can sure talk like a pro.

Rocket Spanish it helps you learn fast and effectively, plus Mauricio, Amy and Carmen are just wonderful. All the conversations are so useful, their voices are great, the phrases are so good, that you learn tons of new vocabulary, expressions, grammar along with the conversations.

Once you learn one conversation you can multiply that by tons yourself. So do not hesitate, start now, act "ahora" and benefit "ahora".

Alright, so I have been using Rocket Chinese for about a year now. I was attracted mostly by the price and the amount of features involved. I was not about the drop hundreds of dollars on Rosetta's Stone or Pimsleur, but I did want quality learning. There are hundreds of ways to learn Mandarin for free on the internet. I realize that. But I needed a place that could provide grammatical support, and have comprehensive lessons that taught a higher level of understanding to the language. Here is what I got:
-Good entertaining lessons
-Motivation
-An overall look at the language
-Chinese culture
And here are the things that I have noticed need improvement
-Despite the recent edits to the "Hear it, Speak it" I definitely think that it can be fixed up even more
-The point system can be more comprehensive for example someone that practices every day, reviewing old lessons will never get the same credit as someone who just puts random answers for quizzes, answers BS for blog posts. I know the end goal is to learn the language and these people wont be doing that but you get the idea
-Chinese writing section I think could definitely use some improvements, and a way of testing yourself to learn the characters.
-More video involvement and multimedia. If you want to be competitive with even the free services out there on the internet there needs to be a greater commitment to trying new things with video, graphics, games and whatnot

And that's pretty much it. I'm going to China soon, and I feel that while I benefited from having this course, that it definitely has a lot of room for improvement, which I hope you will consider.

I have so many things to say about Rocket Chinese I don't know where to start. How about the beginning...

I have been interested in learning Chinese for a year now. I have five programs, three I obtained for free and two I paid for. Of the three I found for free, one came from my local library, I didn't feel bad about making a copy because they are public domain, two I downloaded from the Internet and there was no charge.

They are all good programs, I know because I am very critical and skeptical due to the numbers of programs available, I felt I could go broke trying to find a good teaching program for learning Chinese. Of the two programs that I bought one was from a University and one is the Rocket Chinese language course.

The one from the University is good, but I expected much more form a University language course and it is no where near as comprehensive as Rocket Chinese, but to keep things honest, I paid less for the University course.

I feel fortunate to have found Rocket Chinese and I bought the course after being my usual skeptical critical self, and partaking in the Rocket Chinese free sample lessons. After the sample lessons I was hooked and I am still. The greatest benefit for me was the grammar part, because in the other lessons if the person I was trying to communicate with did not follow the sentence structure of the course material, I was totally lost. With Rocket Chinese I learned how the sentence were structured so I could then structure my own sentences, wow what a difference, oh yes, I still have a ways to go, but I am no longer a parrot, I'm a student. For the first time I feel like I can go to class, My computer that is, study and then go out into the world and apply what I have learned.

So what will you get out of the Rocket Chinese learning package, I don't know that's up to you. What I want to tell you is, learn from the year I spent searching for a complete learning course that will give you a fun exciting way to learn Chinese in a class room like setting and then start speaking Chinese right away and increase you knowledge at your own pace. You will learn the words, the sentence structure, the characters, and the culture of China so you will understand why you are saying the words you are saying.

I do not think you could possibility find a better choice for learning Chinese and you will not waste your time or money searching for what you want, Rocket Chinese has it all.

I am excited about starting this program. I feel I can actually learn Chinese and attain a level of proficiency that will allow me to work and visit China. I like the Pinyin. I like the audio and interactive lesson. I am starting this program with a very positive attitude.

In the first time i was afraid to not get the Chinese tunes , but with this awesome Rocket Chinese I've learned a lot.. and am thinking to have the whole course here when i get free =)

There are many good tools to practice Chinese. I really like the rocket record where you can compare the pronunciation with Chinese speaking people. The only thing that I am missing is that there should be a prepared vocabulary for each chapter.

What I like about Rocket Chinese are:

+Writing part
Makes you understand the strange writing system which the Chinese people use.
Video recording on how to write letters makes you visualize how you are going to do this, instead of only knowing the theory.

+Audio lessons
Its like a good conversation. Good mood. Nice personalities. Possible to upload to mobile.

+Design
Simple. Progress is showed at the top and give you a little bit more motivation.

+Culture
Interesting reading throughout the learning. Makes you understand China a little bit more.

I decided to try and learn Chinese just for the challenge of it.
It is only a few days I started Rocket language method and I am very satisfied. I have already recommended it to all my friends! The small dialogues are very helpful. The phonetic exercises are great to help improve pronunciation. The Practice and level section is also excellent. I only wish there were some more games. Hope that we can soon have it on tablets.

Rocket Languages seems to be a way to help a learner to developing a courant vocabulary and sentences of daily usage structures of the Mandarin language.
I enjoyed working with the sound tracks during the time I have free for my language study. I am also happy that I have my lessons so that I may go over all of them once or twice again, when I fell the time to do so.

I'm just starting but feeling quite confident! The website is nice, seems well organized and clear. Let's rock and speak Mandarin!!! I'm already thinking about learning Korean and Hindi in the near future!!!

When I use Rocket Language I am totally absorbed and unaware of what is going on around me. The dialogue is written as if someone is actually talking to me and dotted with humour that makes me smile and lightens the learning. Thank you Team.

Easy to learn and pick up. Navigation and explanations and simple and good to understand, which is great. I like the point system too and how the process of how far you have gotten.

Too bad my friends have no interest in other languages, otherwise I would spam this site to them and recommend it non stop to them :) 10/10

The ability to download the interactive audio and listen to it offline is great for making use of my time commuting on the London underground, then practicing with the Hear-It / Say-It / Know-It when I get home in the evening.
I hope they make the mobile-app have an offline mode too one day so that I can do the hear/say/know-it practice off-line too.

Hi, this is Dawn Moreno, and I just wanted to say that I bought the Rocket Spanish program a couple of months ago. I absolutely love it, it's the best program out there. I've used several other programs that were very difficult to understand, Rocket Spanish takes you from the very beginning and it's very comprehensive, it takes you to in my opinion to at least intermediate to advance level.

It's painless, easy to understand. My husband is Cuban and he couldn't believe how much better my Spanish speaking and understanding comprehension was after just a few weeks of using Rocket Spanish.

Whereas other programs I have learned I just got so hung up on vocabulary that ... I just don't know... I got all bound up I just couldn't remember anything.

I've been working on learning Spanish on and off for the past 10 years, and in the process I've tried several different products, including audio CDs, books and even classroom courses. Rocket Spanish is the best thing I've come across yet.

Rocket Spanish takes a comprehensive approach to language learning and the thing that I like most is that it focuses on getting you comfortable with conversational Spanish. The audio lessons place you in realistic situations and walk you through conversations sentence by sentence and even word by word. By the time you get to the end of an audio lesson you're very comfortable with all the words, phrases and concepts presented, and each of the lessons builds on the last one.

I like how the concepts are all explained by a native English speaker and the pronunciation practice is all done with a native Spanish speaker.

In addition to the audio lessons, Rocket Spanish also provides you with written lessons to help expand your vocabulary and teach you grammar. The approach is a very simple and natural way to learn the language. I've been enjoying the course very much and look forward to my lessons every day.

I've tried *competitor* and even considered purchasing their Spanish language software but I'm glad that I found Rocket Spanish before spending hundreds of dollars on a less effective program.

I would encourage anyone who wants to learn Spanish to try Rocket Spanish. It is the most effective program and the best deal that I have come across yet.

Works great, and fun. Only problem is that Hear it Say it stops working after a few lines. Otherwise seems very effective, can work while driving, lunch breaks etc. Before it was always hard to find quiet time to work on languages. Keep working on android!

I've tried them all and this is the one! The Italian course is so good that I ordered the next level because I wanted more! The course is designed to give you plenty of incentive to build your understanding and your vocabulary. The native speaker is wonderfully articulate yet natural and easy-going. This is truly the first time I've made real progress in my quest to learn any language. I'm starting French as soon as I'm finished with the first two Italian courses. I took Spanish two times in high school and didn't do very well either time and figured I was just the type of person who couldn't learn a language. After doing the first two lessons of Rocket Korean I can safely say not only can I learn a new language, I am doing so faster then I could have ever imagined.

Prior to purchasing, I did extensive research on which Spanish language learning program to select... Rosetta Stone, Tell Me More, Visual Link, Learning Spanish Like Crazy, you name it, I researched and tried it (using trial software). But, at the end of the day - and countless hours of research - Rocket Spanish had the best interface, best reviews, and most accessible teaching methods. This will be the software that my wife and I will use to first, learn Spanish, and second, introduce our daughter to the language. Wish me luck!

It's surprising how quickly you start to form sentences using Rocket Arabic! The repetition of certain words and concepts in successive lessons really helps to solidify your Arabic foundation. Also, it's easy and enjoyable to use. If you would like to learn a language quickly and easily, this is the product to use!

I just started using Rocket Language and I like it so far. I knew some Portuguese before beginning but have noticed so far that Rocket Language has been helpful with putting phrases together. I am looking forward to getting more in detail with the language and learning things I don't know in part 2 of the lessons.

I enjoy the product, although I haven't been able to complete as many lessons as I would like. The fact that you can access it without an expiration date makes it much more valuable to me since I will be using it over the years and they do provide updates to the material from time to time so that you can come back to an improved product.

This is an awesome, up to date course and it won’t break the bank! This has been invaluable. I would highly recommend it! As far as a dictionary goes this is the best one I found and I looked at several others. The graphics are great and audio is a nice touch!

Rocket French has done everything it said it would do. It is a great way of learn French - always fun and interesting. I love the structure of the lessons and being able to check my progress with the tests and audio samples.

Rocket German is AWESOME! (I have always wanted to learn German, as my grandmother was German.) The lessons and online resources are incredible!!! I am now easily learning German on a professional basis! I truly believe that this is definitely the best money that I ever spent on myself!!!

After taking the six free lessons offered on the website, I saw how easy it was for me to learn Spanish, and how much fun it could be. Hello, my name is Raymon West. I just wanted to say that I would definitely recommend Rocket Spanish to other people, I love it, it's a great program. The benefits of it is that I've been listening to it in the car as I drive, playing the games and things and it's really helped me improve my Spanish skills, especially in the area of grammar. I had some rudimentary Spanish skills but I've discovered I wasn't speaking properly and this has really helped me improve my grammar.

I live in Texas... South Texas actually, so this is helpful in communicating with the Spanish speaking people that live in my area and I also travel to Mexico quite a bit and I enjoy speaking my enhanced Spanish there now, so I really appreciate it. If other people want to buy Rocket Spanish, I think that it would be a great purchase, I would highly recommend it, I've tried other Spanish programs and this one is definitely the best. So once again, thanks for a great product.

Just to put things into context, I completed Rosetta Stone a few years ago and at the end of it, I knew a lot of nouns, phrases, and partial sentences, but couldn't string together a handful of sentences together into any kind of meaningful conversation. Suffice it to say, as a cinephile and avid traveler, I had aspired to a proficiency level somewhat higher than a Francophone toddler.

Now that I've almost completed Premium Level (already have Premium Plus and Platinum on tap), I'm definitely picking up a lot more nuances in film dialogues, and I am also more confident about my pronunciation. The Rocket Reviews are really useful in getting you to think about the different variations and syntaxes that you can apply to the lesson you've just completed.

The Language and Culture modules have a lot of substance to them, and hopefully, they can be deeper integrated into the Interactive Audio modules. As a specific example, the 'Putting Things Together' lessons were exactly what I was looking for in terms of having the facility/vernacular to string together phrases into a coherent sentence without guessing the applicable joinders (like "by the way", or "nevermind") by translating English terms word for word and hope that they use a similar expression in French.
