I had signed up for this program a while back and studied it hard. It was hard work, but the more I went over it, the more I understood, and it was actually fun work too, so I looked forward to it.

I subsequently went to Paris for five-and-a-half weeks and was really able to use so much of what I’d learned.

I was able to ask for, and receive directions and in fact, a couple of different times, I was able to give people directions so that was kind of fun! I had some friends over there who were taking French and they were impressed with what I knew.

I loved the Rocket French newsletters; because of them I understood more; street French’, things people would say from day to day, or slang, but I also classical background, which is wonderful.
