"I have found just what I needed."
In July 2004, I undertook to learn French on my own, beginning with the *Competitor* method. I found this to be of great help to me, having the type of ear that easily hears language and its nuances. However, the *Competitor* method is limited, both in its exposure to grammar and verb forms and in its exposure to vocabulary. In searching for another self-taught method to continue my learning of French, I found and purchased Rocket French.

Through listening to the Rocket French lessons, which I do from an MP3 player that broadcasts through my car radio on my way to and from work, I have found just what I needed. I am continuing to learn French on my own terms, and very effectively at that.
