Whether you’re on vacation or traveling for business, you’ll learn some useful German airplane words in this free Rocket German lesson. Listen to the native pronunciation and learn the German words for boarding pass, passport, luggage and more.
We’ll show you how to get someone’s attention politely, ask for what you need in German, and explain that something has gone wrong with your travel plans. Knowing how to use these essential German travel phrases will give you more confidence next time you’re travelling by plane!
Imagine you are on a flight from America to Germany. It’s a long way, so make sure you know how to ask for a drink or an extra blanket in case you are cold. It’s also important to know what “Schnallen Sie sich bitte an” means. Repeat the new words aloud to practice your pronunciation.
Once you arrive at the airport you will have to collect your luggage. Simply follow the signs to the “Gepäckrückgabe” and make your way to the “Passkontrolle”. Listen to the Audio link below to hear the pronunciation.
P.S. If you’d like to improve your learning, practice makes perfect!
