Rocket Languages is a wonderful tool for everyone who wants to expand their vocabulary in other languages. I personally have been taking Spanish and like my life motto, "I regret nothing." I would recommend Rocket Languages to anyone who needs to learn a different language for school or for pleasure.

i am enjoying rocket Spanish and learning at a good rate.Although the course is quite expensive i think that it is reasonable value for money. The course is easy to follow and instils a lot of confidence in my ability to converse in spanish.

I have bought all three stages of rocket Spanish and it´s amazing. It´s so easy to follow, i am definitely learning a lot. One thing i love about American companies like rocket languages is that they really know how to teach: it's idiot proof which i consider a strength and not patronizing at all. One of the problems i faced with language learning is the speaking aspect and rocket languages covers this so well, a lot more than Rosetta Stone that is more expensive and in my opinion not worth it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone; value for money and a lot of content for you to go over AND there is no expiry date. It's so nice to have this account forever and not on some sort of time share. I think that makes this a million times better than Rosetta Stone as i don't feel pressured to learn and can learn at my own pace, which is still fast but without the time pressure. I actually believe i can reach fluency with Rocket's help and now i'm more determined than ever. I am also thinking of learning Chinese and i'm so happy Rocket has a chinese version too. I have aspirations to be a translator and i definitely would recommend Rocket to anyone so is thinking on the same lines. Clarity over complexity: this is the Rocket experience. 100/100

I purchased my Rocket Spanish at a time in my life when I thought I would be able to learn Spanish in a few weeks or months. Man was I wrong, it takes determination and dedication, like when I was learning Guitar, which both require a personal investment of your time, there is no short cut or quick fix . If you want something badly enough there is a cost, and it is your time, but believe me this is the way to learn Spanish.
Once you have learned something it is essential that you do not move along too fast as the things you thought you knew, are quite easily forgotten. So I try to get back to parts of the language where I am weaker, or just need refreshment. I am 68 years old and live in Canada, and I want to succeed with learning Spanish soooooo very much now. I am sure my mind is not as quick, active and able to perform , like it used to when I was a lot younger. But aside from the stumbling blocks, I am determined to continue learning and be more proficient, in a language that I love. My wife and I like to travel to latin countries , as we love their culture, and warmth to travelers. We have been visiting Cuba, twice a year for the past few years, and we are helping a Cuban family with two small children, ages 5 , and 3, who are always trying to tell us something. They are my main motivation at this time to be able to communicate better and be able to respond and interact with them. I bought Rocket Spanish 1 approx in 2010. I did a lot of research with the competition and Rockets price was really affordable, and because it was cheap I wasn't expecting too much from it. I did download the audio CD's as recommended by Mauricio, and I did buy Rocket Spanish 2 a little later, followed by Rocket Spanish 3. My thinking was it was really cheap and I wanted to download all of the CD's to complete the set, in case this company dissolved and disappeared from site. At the time I did not have any ulterior motivation, so it lay dormant for the longest time, downloaded on my hard drive. Except when our vacation time came around, then I would pull out the CD that I burned from their website and play it in my car a few weeks before travelling, and practice all the vacation chatter. This is a great way of learning too, as I often travel more than an hour in each direction to get to work, making it a great time for listening and practice. I just love Amy 's voice , she is so good at this work, so easy to follow, and ever so pleasant to listen to, like she is enjoying every minute of what she is doing , and Mauricio is very good too, but not as pretty as Amy ! So until I realized how much I really wanted to learn, I was just pulling out the CD, and putting it away after my trip, as I had no need of Spanish in my home town, until my next trip, a year later. 2 years ago after returning from Cuba, I decided it was time to get serious about learning Spanish so I enrolled in an adult Furthering Education Spanish Class for level 1. I had decided I wanted supervision, accountability, homework, tests and exams. It was approx one hour drive each way to the college, for a 3 hour class once a week, and another $40 per semester for parking. I was a senior and I did get a discounted rate of $50 which really helped a lot. Not so much for the other students who were paying $400 each per semester, including parking. I wanted more than " dos pina colada's por favor", I wanted to LEARN Spanish, so I could speak to those kids and families using more than 2 words at a time. I wanted to conjugate verbs in my head, and put sentences together.... the right way around, so they were recognizable. I completed Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 at the college, and I got left behind several times, because the course was condensed into approx 40 hours of learning using the Come Se Dice text books. Then with the amount of homework required, I was spending another 30 hours + completing the homework. There is no time to dwell on a section if some people are slow, so if you didn't get it immediately you struggled completing the homework. I was getting a little frustrated for the amount of time I was giving to this project and felt I was just treading water, and not learning as much or as fast as I expected. I compared it to learning your ABC's, and skipping out on some letters along the way, but still being expected to complete words and sentences with those letters missing. I had completely forgotten about my Rocket Spanish that was still on my hard drive, as well as the CD's in my glove box, that I had purchased years before. I am not attending college courses any longer, I have revisited my Rocket Spanish and it is still the same as it was when I first bought it. It is on my hard drive, and I was amazed, I just connected to my name and everything was still there, the same as it was 8 years ago. I still had full access to every single file, Audi and video as though they were just installed yesterday. I realized these guys did not go bankrupt, or fade away into the sunset to spend all of their money, as I had feared. They have not , and they are not going anywhere. I did more research on Rocket Spanish and found out it is the number one learning tool, which surpasses all of the competition including Rosetta Stone, and is by far, the least expensive. From what I have seen in my 3 modules it includes the curriculum that I had done at college, except I set the pace, and I can go as fast or as slow as I want. I can do it at any time of the day or night, and if I am stuck I can spend the time to work it out, or I can share with others online. From the time I bought my courses I have had regular communications from Mauricio, I have all 3 courses so they have nothing else to sell to me, so I believe these guys really care, for their students, and they want us to be successful. I am looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and seriously attacking this course that offers so much. I believe I can do the same with Rocket that I was doing at college without leaving my chair at home. I wrote this article to tell Mauricio and Amy, I am so glad that I found them, and what a wonderful inspiration they both are, and not to stop what they are doing. I am totally motivated now, and excited to be moving ahead with Rocket Spanish. I have huge regrets, that I did not do this sooner, and started using Rocket Spanish right away, and committed myself to it. If I had done so, I would probably be fluent in Spanish at this time. I would recommend you do just that, and buy all 3 modules together, and enjoy it. Well done guys ! You will be seeing a lot of me on your website, Terry Maher Ontario, Canada

I like the way you have to talk. I have been trying to learn spanish fore a few years now, and I can understand a lot.
But when it comes to talking i got stuck. Now after almost finishing the first module I see that I can answer the questions in the lessons not only repeating, but building new sentences with other words. I am confident that I will learn to speak.

I have really enjoyed the rocket languages learning experience! The only difficult thing is staying movivated! The price is fair, expensive but fair as you get a lot for your dollar. I would recommend writing down everything you say, think, and learn and reviewing it weekly if your true desire is to learn the language quickly and efficiently! I was satisfied with how the module layer the self although some restructuring should be considered as the gradual progression is self-affirming however every so often there is quit a large jump in difficulty. The tests at the end of each module should also be touched us as to test your problem solving and ability to infer from what you have learnt, instead of testing what you have memorized from the lesson. Other than that i continue to use rocket languages and would reccomend it to anyone who is interested in learning Spanish.

I am very happy with Rocket Spanish. I find it easy to use. The lessons are thorough and you can repeat them as often as you want. The only difficulty that I have had is with the software's ability to understand when I speak very short words, like "no". Even though it cannot understand me, I can still use the playback feature to assess what I sound like so it has not been a very big issue for me. There is a lot to do within Rocket Spanish and it is accessible anytime. You can ignore it for a year and then get right back it to it! I've also used Rosetta Stone and find Rocket Spanish to be much more suited to the way that I learn.

I have tried to speak Spanish for years, buying into memorizing vocabulary with its gender and count, listing verb conjugation, breaking down tense usage, and referencing dictionary check. And yet, no matter how much I applied myself, I would fail miserably at sentence structure. I could not relate my thoughts to others. I struggled with verb tenses relative to mood and emotion. I used multiple verb sets to indicate mood. I was lost and would quit trying. There were times I would focus so intently on a conversation, a headache would result.
Rocket Language put my focus on communicating in Spanish, not memorization and grammar. Initially, I realized that learning how to pronounce Spanish words (sounds) enabled others to identify my spoken words and thereby understand my attempts to speak to them. I placed more emphasis in this area. I discovered that now, I could identify words spoken by a fluent spanish talker that were spoken to me. I realized that simple learned conversational phrases could be modified and combined to fit a variety of life's situation. More learned verbs could be used to convey more ideas, gain information and fluency. The sentence structure became evident with repetition, and learning more conversationally relevant verbs, prepositions and idioms, became important to me, in the conveying of my thoughts, feelings and communicating comprehension to the listener. The use of verbalization, testing, writing, and oral practice has jump started my conversing in Spanish. I find myself being immersed in Spanish and not thinking in English. Practice and verbalization are the building blocks to learning and fluency with Rocket Language. No longer do I mentally grope to understand a Spanish speaker. I am no longer focused on each and every pronounced word, but rather linking pronounced phrases together to conceptually grasp the speaker's full meaning. The keener you listen, the better your comprehension. A wonderful learning program.

I like the idea of the course, but I find it too cumbersome to use on a regular basis. Firstly, I practice at home in the evenings and it is disruptive for me to be speaking aloud continuously. Half the time this feature does not work for me, likely because I have slow internet. It also absolutely cannot understand me when I say the word "enchilada" even though I am 99% sure I am pronouncing it correctly. Secondly, the rating system is really annoying and I do not understand it at all. I would like to be able to run through lessons without having to click on a rating (I also have yet to figure out what "so so" and "good" mean). Clicking a rating after every single answer makes me take my hand off of the keyboard to reach the mouse to click, when it would be much quicker and simpler to be able to just hit 'enter' to go to the next phrase or word. This is especially annoying during the typing practice, which also requires the use of a virtual keyboard to type special characters. There should be keyboard shortcuts for these, it takes an inordinate amount of time to find the characters and select the right one for very short words. I got this course as a step up from duolingo, but I find the interface too annoying for daily use and I get frustrated before I can complete a lesson. With the same lessons but more intuitive tests, I would continue with the course, but as it is I likely will never get through lesson 1. That being said, customer service has been fantastic and I hope that they are able to improve the course.
