Rocket Spanish — United States
I would love Rocket Languages if it would work and the sound would stop cutting out. I ask for help they say it will take 2 days to get a response for my request. I really thought the first course 1.1 was great but i cant get past 1.2 because it plays for awhile and then the sound cuts out.

Clear, step by step learning. you can find everything, writing, listening, reading and grammar.
you can skip, review, re-do, and take quizzes. I do not think it misses anything unlike other online course. thank you Rocket languages.
Rocket Russian — United States
Very good set up and structure. However, my main complaint is that the conversations never really got increasingly complicated. Additionally, they did not include too wide a range of vocabulary. The audio is great for learning pronunciation but I feel like I spent a lot of time and did not learn as much as I could have say, through duolingo which is free. I would only recommend this program to people who have never studied a language before because it goes slow enough that it may be beneficial to get over the initial fears of learning a language. However, for people such as myself with a more developed linguistic background, I felt as if the dialogues did not advance very much and that I did not really leave learning as much as I could have if I spent the same amount of time with other resources.
I feel as if Rocket Languages needs to drastically alter the content of the dialogues to better suit them for "intuitive" grammar and vocabulary acquisition. That being said, the main structuring of the program I found to be fantastic and the native audio files also were superb.
Rocket Chinese — San Jose, CA , United States
It has all the right content, but in all the wrong order. After struggling with the early lessons I realized I had to start each lesson at the bottom, learn the simple words and phrases and then make my way up to the longer stuff at the top/beginning.
Then after struggling with 5 lessons of long, complex multisyllabic structures, they finally introduce you to the endings and tone pronunciations. This means that the lesson structure is in the wrong order too. Technology seems great, lesson ordering and general approach seems to need a lot of work. Finally, this is likely a personal choice: but when I'm trying to learn Chinese I really don't want to have an exuberant english guy shouting at me about how excited he is. As I realize some may like this, I'd like an option to filter out Dave and just learn from the native speaker.
Rocket Spanish — London & Cadiz , Spain
So far have been really impressed with the Rocket Spanish course. Have purchased the full pack (Level 1, 2 & 3) and have been very satisfied so far - far better value than other competitors. I hope the course will teach me Castilian Spanish (as I have just moved to mainland Spain) as well as South American Spanish...
Rocket Italian — United States
Rocket Italian is integral in my study of the language. I use several apps and online programs to vary my study and to avoid – as much as possible – hitting a study wall. Rocket Italian incorporates audio and text in a way that keeps it interesting.
Rocket Spanish — Kelowna / BC , Canada
I really like the way the modules are introduced such that you can make use of the Spanish you are learning immediately. Tried Rosetta Stone and did not find their methodology at all useful matching pictures to words ...... so far this is much better and more intuitive for me.
Rocket Spanish — Dominican Republic
Rocket Spanish is far and away the best online Spanish course I have ever come across. After doing a ton of research, reading reviews, comparing what you got, the price, and more, I chose to purchase Rocket Spanish. It is a choice I have not questioned.
Over the years I have recommended Rocket Languages to anyone looking to learn a foreign language, at all different levels. Those folks who took my advice have been more than satisfied with their purchase. As with any course, if you don't put in the time, it doesn't matter how good the course. This is so true with Rocket Spanish as well. When I actually dedicate myself to spending the time with Rocket Spanish, it comes very easily. This was never the case when I was "learning" a foreign language in school. I am 67 years old and currently living in the Dominican Republic. That being said, I felt it necessary to take on the project of learning a foreign language to better communicate with the peoples of the DR. The challenge living in the DR is that they bastardize their language. Dominicans drop off letters, change pronunciations, you name it. This also changes from one part of the Country to another. Being that Rocket Spanish is being taught by a native from Bolivia, I felt that this would give me the closest to how Dominicans speak the language. This would not have been the case if I had chosen Rosetta Stone, or so many of the other Spanish courses out there, that teach proper European Spanish. There is a big difference. It is like the difference between English spoken by Americans and British. My suggestion is take the free tour of Rocket Spanish...Give it a try..Put in the time. You will be amazed how enjoyable it can be learning a foreign language.
Rocket Japanese — roebuck / south carolina , United States
i really love the point system. When i feel i'm done for the day and look down to see that i haven't quite met my goal for the day it keeps me going and i'm so proud when i see my numbers piling up day after day.
Rocket Spanish — Cape Town , South Africa
Rocket Spanish was an excellent way to kick-start my Spanish. When I decided to attend class in Spanish, I was amazed at how much I have learned from Rocket Spanish.I am now working through the advanced course and am happy to find it both challenging and accessible. While attending class is great, it is generally limited to one or two hours a week. Not enough to become proficient in a language. Having an online course that is available to me 24 hours a day, means I can work on the language every day and can fit in lessons around my schedule.
