Rocket Korean — United States
So far just starting out I’m really enjoying the course, it’s going through conversational pieces and allowing for recording and verification when you talk is awesome and I really love that because it makes me pronounce things correctly and it gets me talking OUTLOUD which is great and I think key. I’m going to start on the writing modules soon because I want to get hanguel down so I can try and take the romanization piece out! So far I love it!
Rocket Japanese — Plover, WI , United States
I am a beginner and have only taken a couple of lessons but I found the experience enjoyable (1.1 and 1.2). Very easy to follow along with the speakers. That plus the great discount price made me jump to purchase the first level premium. I would certainly recommend to anyone who wants to learn Japanese.
Rocket Korean — Japan
For an independent visual learner, this is one of the greatest products in the language acquisition industry. In one month, Rocket Korean has improved my recognition of native speech and natural pronunciation to a point of satisfaction that I could not reach after three years of formal study in a language academy and travel in South Korea. I look forward to using this program to bring my Japanese to a higher level of fluency, as well. The thrill of measuring progress alongside other users in the leaderboard is motivating, and the ability to move at my own pace has great value. Keep up the excellent work!
Rocket German — Colorado Springs, CO , United States
I am very pleased. I have barely gotten started, but so far it exceeds expectations. I especially like the structure of the lessons. It strikes a good balance of listening, speaking, spelling, and grammar. Es ist sehr gut!
Rocket Spanish — United Kingdom
I started to learn Spanish at an Adult Community College and it was hard going because there were insufficient resources and I was hampered by the pace of other learners.
I researched many online systems but settled for Rocket Languages for a few reasons: 1) It's good value for money and has received good reviews 2) All of the resources are downloadable for offline use 3) With a 60 day money back guarentee, how can you go wrong? Now I have some experience with the system I can say that the content is very good, everything so far seems to be explained accurately. There are interactive lessons with voice recognition, so learners can check their pronunciation, quizes, flash cards, written tests and more. The system itself is easy to navigate. Learners work at their own pace and can go quickly over items that are already known or lessons can be repeated where required. Only one minor criticism so far and that is I wanted the course for trips to Spain not Latin America, but I knew this before buying the course. I can overcome the minor differences by drawing on existing knowledge or the information could easily be researched.
Rocket Italian — London , United Kingdom
It took me quite a long time to decide to take the plunge and buy a language course. Ive only ever tried free apps like Duolingo which is also a good program. But i can tell you Rocket Italian so far has exceeded my expectation. I have just finished the first section. I have become quite addicted to the program. The numerous forms of self testing really does help it stick. Im not perfect and I did have to rerun the last two sessions three times for it to stick but believe me. Doing this has helped me a lot better than any of the free apps I have used. Long may it continue as I progress through the lessons. I agree with comments about the fact that some times quite rarely the recording went odd. Bit a quick stop and replay solves this. It doesnt happen often.
In short Im loving it at the moment. Not sure about when it gets harder though. Give it a go!!
Rocket German — Germantown, Maryland , United States
Very Good. Very Helpful. I studied, and learned the German Language ( Deutche Sprache) in 1992, when I was living in Germany until 1998. Now I am Living in USA, since 1998 to date 01/2019. I have forgotten the language a little, as I have nobody to speak in German language. Now, I have developed my knowledge of German as a result of follow up the Rocket Language website.
Rocket Japanese — Germany
I am enjoying the lessons so far but is a bit difficult to understand why the same word has different translations. Specifically "Hajime mashite". It is a bit off-putting. The rating on customer service can be ignored, I have not had the need to contact them. I am happy with the price but mainly because I got it at a 60% discount. Not sure I would have bought it otherwise. I also wish that there was a notification in the app that the voice recognition is much better on PC. I found that on the app it didn't recognize a difference with me ending in "masu" or "mashita" even though it wanted the latter.
Rocket Spanish — United Kingdom
Have been trying for years to learn Spanish (even at Open University), but have never found a method of study that manages to capture the style of learning that both holds my interest and allows me to progress quite quickly. Rocket Spanish is quite costly, but on the plus side it is downloadable and you have membership for life including upgrades. It has definitely reinvigorated my desire to master this new language, and for the first time I believe that it may actually be achievable.
