Rocket Italian — Butte, MT
One month into Rocket Italian Level I, the program is providing me with a solid start in learning a new language. The instruction motivates learning and can be fun. The materials are well designed and appear to take into consideration the different types of learning styles we have as students of language. So far so good.
Rocket Japanese — United States
I am a bilingual person (translator from English into French) trying to learn Japanese. I've been trying several methods books, on-line, etc., over several years. Even though this method is far more interesting and educational than Rosetta, I feel that it is lacking of grammatical points or explanations, so to be a complete learner, you need to complement it by another mean (books or apps). After saying that, I will still recommend this on-line method, since I believe it is one of the best today.
Improvements: The testing system: it would be more educational to be testing more than 5 (Japanese 2) or 10 questions (Japanese 2), while the listen and writing, test you on over 30 questions. Even though the voice recognition improve dramatically over the years, it is still sometimes difficult to use it, especially with long sentence in the Play role section. The system stops before I say half of the sentences. It works fine most of the time with single word. The first audio is too long and have a lot of unnecessary moments. For example, why practicing to say a word or sentence when it is listed in the vocabulary section in which you can learn how to say it as well? Also, to be honest, Kenny's voice is a little annoying after a while. While not just using Japanese people from the start (Japanese 1) like in most of Japanese 2 . The questions of the final testing of each module should not be the same than in each individual module. When you have special on prices (ie on Memorial week-end in the USA), it would be nice to know in advance so we can budget the cost. I will be interested to purchase the Japanese 3 at the same price, but I am guessing I will need to wait one year or other special events (maybe on black Friday). I think that if this product could have more extensive grammatical sections in modules, it would be hard to beat. However; I bought the Japanese 1 and 2 three or four year ago and this product has been improving a lot along with the technology. It seems that this Company really is trying to offer the best product possible, focusing on the learning reward for the users. Its point system motivates the users. I am very satisfied with its customer service. I sent only a few emails and every time I received a response within a few days with positive results. Keep on your hard work.
Rocket French — Toronto
The real life situations make learning fun! It would make everyday situations easy to comprehend. The interactive audio makes it easy to grasp the meaning of words and sentences. The audio playback is good for review. Building on the sentences a phrase at a time makes it all come together. Hopefully when presented with questions in real life, this will be helpful to use all the words and phrases I've learned.
Rocket Spanish — Geneva , Switzerland
All good, slowly learning but that is more down to my application rather than this great programme. I particularly the way the teaching materials are laid out the tips that are given throughout. THe audio lessons have really helped me get a grasp of understanding the spoken form.
Rocket Arabic — Palmerston North , New Zealand
Ahlan beekum, hello everyone. Rocket Arabic is a pretty great tool, gets you stuck right into learning all the relevant phrases straight away so you can begin communicating as soon as you feel comfortable. Would recommend to anyone willing to learn quickly and effectively.
Rocket Arabic — Dubai
The Rocket Languages is an amazing tool. I signed up for the Arabic course and although I slip behind in the course work (due only to my own laziness) the regular weekly e-mails do make a difference by reminding me of my desire to learn this language. Awesome product.
This website certainly has improved in the past year. The 4 different types of tests really keep you thinking. I never would have pushed myself to try and write in French! I love listening to Paul and Claire and miss them in the premium plus version
It's okay, it should go into more detail and provide lessons about writing in Japanese, as well as the speaking ones. I like pie as well, make a lesson about pie and fat potatoes. That's it. Byeeeeeee!!!
Rocket French — Nevada , United States
I like Rocket French and have found it helpful, but if you're a person who doesn't memorize sentences well in order to repeat them back orally or in writing, you may get frustrated. I can actually converse in French at an intermediate level, but I'm not able to memorize these lesson passages because, in the moment of studying, their only importance is as text to attach to my brain long enough to recant for the machine. Frankly, I don't learn fluidity from memorizing but from composing my own sentences, so I much prefer studying the vocabulary and the grammar, and those lessons here are very good and give me the needed tools. I think it would be a lot of work, but it would be cool if Rocket French could restructure for an experience that involved less rote repetition of longer texts. If you don't think you'd be disappointed by this, then it may be perfect for you.
Rocket Korean — Reading PA , United States
It really helps me a lot, and I will continue to use it great website. It helps with vocab, the way you say the words, conversation, and so much more. You can also download your lesson and go with where ever you want. I like that you can save words to you vocab list, I put words taht I would use daily on my list and I go over them everyday and that helps with learning it more.
