Rocket Arabic — United Kingdom
The Arabic course is unique in that it teaches colloquial Arabic which is more likely to be understood by the average person. I personally am using it to increase my vocabulary to supplement my MBA and classical Arabic usage. So overall the course is great and would be 5 star if the mobile app worked regularly. If they can fix that and keep it working regularly I will gladly update my review.
Rocket Sign Language
Sign Language is pretty good, but I wish there was more of a way to test where I am at. I am not sure how well I grasp the concepts because there is not really any interaction...It is a good way to learn by yourself though.
Rocket French — Melbourne
It's a good program and easy to follow so far. The free trial is a great way to introduce what the program is about and allows us to have a taste of what the structure is. I have been learning grammar from Duolingo and this program helps me with conversation and pronunciation. After many hours on Duolingo, I found this program reinforces what I already learnt and I hope it will help me speak French in the near future.
So far, so good. I've tried other online language learning tools and was VERY frustrated with how they taught things. But so far with Rocket French, things are going better. I like how I can mix things up a little...like listen to the vocab before I listen to the lesson. That helps me prepare for the lesson. Hopefully, Rocket French will help me get where I want to be.
I have been using the trial version for less than 2 weeks, and have already Astounded people with my little French. For example today I ran into a French mother and daughter. With the little French spoke they thought I was french! They couldn't believe my accent and were impressed. The interactive dialogue is great and the words were pronounced so clear for me. The design of this software and learning structure is fantastic! It allows me to repeat and answer questions to the pint that it sounds native! I started a French course in parallel and its triple the cost and doesn't compare. The Cd I got with the book is just crappy compared! I have studied a different language before - before the Internet and I wish someone could of given me all the tips I am reading that rocket French provides for free!. Rocket French has compiled a lot of information, advice and recommendations which is probably taken for granted. It's truly a wonderful experience learning online with a support forum for the language and IT. This online trial kit exceeds my expectations! Well done to you all Who Made this product a reality!
Rocket French — United States
Besides my native Czech I speak and write English and Russian fluently, both of which I learned the traditional way. Now I am at the end of Level 1 of Rocket French. The Rocket approach is very effective, I am learning about 4 times faster than with the traditional school method.
It is still work, it does require discipline but there are little pleasures about it as well. The lesson speakers Claire and Paul are very charming, in particular, Claire's speech is just lovely. The customer support is fast and effective even so that it is limited to the application programming issues. They will not respond to anything related to the language itself or any issue beyond that what is outside the screen. The Rocket method "weaves" the language, it gives a hint of word meanings, then hint of grammar then both the meanings and the grammar reappear later with a slight twist building up the full grasp. Similarly so with the common phrases. Another strength is the voice recognition, it works very well (nearly). The computer has no mercy, so when you say it right, you know your pronunciation is right, no less. But the program does have limitations, if I try to work on a lesson around 8pm there is not enough bandwith for the voice recognition. All of sudden 30% of sentences are rejected, not recognized etc. while off hours I get rarely anything wrong. C'est tout
Rocket Spanish — Edmonton , Canada
I have really enjoyed the rocket languages learning experience! The only difficult thing is staying movivated! The price is fair, expensive but fair as you get a lot for your dollar. I would recommend writing down everything you say, think, and learn and reviewing it weekly if your true desire is to learn the language quickly and efficiently! I was satisfied with how the module layer the self although some restructuring should be considered as the gradual progression is self-affirming however every so often there is quit a large jump in difficulty. The tests at the end of each module should also be touched us as to test your problem solving and ability to infer from what you have learnt, instead of testing what you have memorized from the lesson. Other than that i continue to use rocket languages and would reccomend it to anyone who is interested in learning Spanish.
Rocket Chinese — Bavaria
Rocket Chinese has a lot of interesting features, but some don't seem to work as intended. I tried many times to do the testing...but somehow, it never registers when I do the speaking, although the microphone displays the profile it should have...lately the vocabulary did not seem to register eiter anymore when I put words into it.
Rocket Sign Language — tn , United States
I'm enjoying this software, but the sign language lessons need a way to slow the signer down. I am having an extremely difficult time understanding the women's signing. Having a way to slow down signing would be extremely helpful.
Ive tried a few online sites but this is certainly the best. It is very entertaining and encourages you to keep trying. I like the way you can check your progress. It may appear expensive but a great deal of work went into designing it and for that it is worth it
