Bonjour! Je m'appelle Laurice. Je viens des Philippines.. I am having trouble with some lessons yet the CostumerService chat doesn't have anyone to chat so no one would help me out. I am unsatisfied because someone would be online by the time I wouldn't need help and now I really need help, no ones there to chat. Anyway, it also has helped me a lot. To let you know, I am only 11 years old yet I am willing to know more about different languages and learn about it, fun fact: we are still not studying different kinds of languages but I know that this will be really helpful in the future.

Lesson 1.7 is about to do me in. I simply cannot understand it when they're saying such long sentences and speaking so rapidly. Then again, I got made fun of once in the 90's Mexico when I said cuatro because I said it so slowly. I'm from the South. I speak English slowly and damned sure can't speak Spanish that fast. I also can't remember all those words and phrases. There were a lot of them in this lesson!

The dialogues are short but interesting. Dealing with everyday life, the dialogues are easily usable in everyday situations of life.
I think it would be better off if you could provide an all out version of the dilogues without the explantory stuff for extdnsive hearing.

I'm always having an issue with the audio/record portion. Other than that, I enjoy the lessons. I also wish under the extra vocab record sections there was a way that the super fast speaker could be slowed down so you know if you are using the correct dialect and saying the word properly.

i like Rocket Languages because im gonna learn korean languages Pretty good deal I would say! What I like very much are your e-mail follow ups, so I get constantly reminders to learn more Spanish in case I get too lazy. Rocket Spanish is pretty unique to me, because usually one buys a language course and when you have paid for it you're left alone with no help at all, let alone steady reminders and follow ups. You are like a live teacher to me, who cares about his student. I really appreciate your approach and willingness to help your customers. I would like to give you guys the highest compliments because I am a not only businessman and customer but I certainly know how it is to get help after acquiring something and to be reminded that there are people which really care and give you a helping hand when needed, you give the best of possible support. I've just started the first few lessons and I really like the conversational approach to learning and the additional form of testing that follows. Unlike other learning platforms that I've tried that encourage you to speak, Rocket's approach of using voice recognition makes it into a kind of game where you feel that speaking correctly matters. I also love how you can stand in for one of the speakers in a pseudo-realtime conversation. It feels that one step closer to learning with another person. On the negative side, I find the male teacher to be a bit too 'smily', like he is talking to children. This isn't especially off-putting when we get to the actual conversations and explanations but it doesn't really help with learning. I guess they wanted the male and female teachers to have some kind of rapport with the students but it feels forced.

The record with voice recognition grading really helps to get your pronunciation right, and the playback of your voice really helps you find out why you did get the grade you expected. These tools give a strong incentive to practice speaking, and have helped me to progress faster. The downside is that these tools are only practically useful on PC and not useful on Android because of speed and different limited web page. (I cannot speak for Apple versions).

I would give the course 5 stars if all features were available on all platforms.

On android viewing the website, speech recognition is so much slower to respond, and much less accurate, so the time delays become frustrating - it is very dependent on internet and wireless speed. The key thing android misses is it that it has no ability to play back what you said (so that you can hear and correct your own mistakes). From the forum comments this appears to have been missing for 2 years or more, and I think Rocket Languages should make playback of your own voice a priority fix for android users.

It is very good over all, I do not like that the system seems to have trouble picking up one syllable words, but besides that I am enjoying the program very much!

It is fun to learn French pronunciation and more about the grammar. I also think it is good for my seventy-six-year-old brain to try this new exercise!

I liked as much as I could cover in the free preview. It takes a lot of dedication to learn a language but rocket has good tools to help those who are interested. Having a monthly payment is a good option to have. If I want to continue to learn French, I would certainly think of coming back here as I liked the structure of the course very much.
