Rocket Japanese — Sweden
Rocket languages really gave me the tools to succeed with my new language. It brought me to a level where I was finally comfortable speaking with native speakers and I was able to take off on my own after that. I highly recommend Rocket Languages to all my friends trying to learn a new language. Learning with this system felt practically effortless.
Rocket French — Italy
The system itself is very powerful and comprehensive. It would be really enjoyable.. if it worked.
The voice recognition software, which is the heart of the system, won't work most of the times. At first I put it down to my bad pronunciation as I am using top-notch technology. As my pronunciation skills got better I could see no improvements. At this point I tried feeding the audio from the Rocket French app itself to my laptop through microphone. Incredibly enough IT WOULDN'T PICK IT UP or would show accuracy at 50-75%! This is frustrating, because I am eager to learn but I lost my initial enthusiasm. Sometimes I get stuck to the same word for minutes with no 100% pronunciation accuracy. For 263 euros I was expecting better software development. Very disappointed. Rocket Spanish — Tucson Arisona , United States
My review is short due to the fact that i only recently found Rocket Spanish since moving to Arizona. I hope to keep my skills as time progresses. Thank you for this opportunity. I have leaned Spanish, and French and use them both when traveling. I hope to learn even more languages with this program. Keeping the brain working seems to be a strong asset for an active adult.

I love this site. The setup and option to choose difficulty is brilliant. I especially love how rocketlanguage breaks everything down. I would definitely get this if it wasn’t so expensive. I would rather buy Rosetta stone for a lot less.

Rocket misses the mark in many ways. Teaching phrases without a literal translation is not helpful. Ideally, one should know what each word in the sentence is, so that one can then compose one's own sentences. Additionally, the speakers speak very quickly and one can't really tell how they are pronouncing the words in spite of having them spelled out in cyrillic. Also when teaching color names, why aren't' there colors on the screen, or at least on the flash cards? And when there are nouns, why not a picture of the object? I've been learning languages for many years, and I like some of Rocket Language's features, but I have to say that Pimsleur, does a much better job of teaching one to actually speak and understand the language, and they give literal translations and help one understand the context and syntax of words. But Pimsleur only teaches the audio, and they are way too expensive to only do that. Rocket Languages does offer voice comparison, but I have my doubts as to how good it really is at telling me how close I am to correct pronunciation. Rocket Languages is okay, but not the greatest. However, it is affordable. But, their customer service isn't very good. I was having a problem getting the microphone to work in Chrome, and they never did get back to me with full instructions. I had to do all my own research on that one and it took many hours before I could get the microphone to work in Chrome. The mic worked fine in Firefox, but all the Rocket features weren't available in Firefox.
Rocket French — Cape Town
I am only using the free trial period (for now) and I am very impressed with the content, that as soon as I'm able to I am purchasing the full French course. Thank for for a superb website that offers more than you'd expect to get for free.
Rocket Chinese — Canada
I initially loved the course because I used it in my mobile driving back and forth to work.
But once I got to level 3 I found the explanation of the dialogue to be very lacking. Essentially it required me to sit down in front of a computer. It was no longer a course I could do while driving.
