Rocket French — United States
I completed all French lessons from the most popular online language learning course. When I finished, I couldn't carry on a conversation. I chatted with another student online who had taken the same classes, and he told me not to become discouraged. He went through the lessons three times before he became comfortable. That shouldn't be necessary. I decided to try Rocket French instead. In a few days, I was able to start speaking simple and useful sentences! This may be a matter of learning style; different people learn differently, but there is no question that Rocket French is better for me. The other learning program is total immersion with no explanations in English. Simple things like "de le" is "du" is something I had to figure out, whereas Rocket French explains that and it's so much easier. There is so much conversational practice in French that I don't feel that I'm missing out by reading explanations in English. I leave for Paris in a few weeks, and I already know so much more than I did a week ago! Today I will complete Module 1 and over the weekend I hope to finish Module 2. Making such quick progress has made me obsessed! By the time I go, I expect to be comfortable ordering food in a restaurant, shopping, and meeting new people in French! Of course I can't become proficient in such a short time, but French people I've spoken with are very patient when we try to learn. Merci beaucoup Rocket French!
Rocket German — India
The classes are simply awesome, especially the interactive sessions. They make you feel like you are already on your way to speaking great German! The pronunciations and grammatical nuances are clearly explained and there are lots of examples to learn from. I love Rocket German!!

The overriding problem with Rocket Languages is the faulty audio system. I own a MacBook Air 2013 computer for which the audio is excellent for all programs except this one.
Leaderboard and badges contribute to a more positive learning experience. Your program coordinates well with Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur. Each of the three offers something special. Rosetta Stone covers grammar in an incremental, methodical manner - offering extremely valuable practice exercises on a whole host of subject matter and syntactical patterns. Rocket Language is a good follow-on to Rosetta Stone and Pimsluer and offers effective reinforcement of both types of learning. For some languages, Rocket Language sentences are overly complex if introduced too soon. They are challenging to master.
Rocket Hindi — New Zealand
I am enjoying learning Hindi from my own home, the app is great. The interactive speaking component is fantastic, I am enjoying working on getting my pronunciation right! I like the points and badges they are good motivators.
Rocket French — Adelaide , Australia
I have just started using Rocket French again, after using it briefly before travelling overseas last year. Using it in conjunction with in person lessons to boost my learning as I want to challenge myself, and I'm finding it quite useful so far. The fact that I can use it on my computer, or on my phone while in the car on bluetooth is great, and I love that it updates my progress on both.
The program seems to have trouble recognising when I say "Vous" - But speech recognition is a great feature otherwise. There was an error with the 1.2 quiz, not logging my 5/5 result on the computer, but it did work on the iPhone app. All in all and good product so far. Thank you.
Rocket Spanish — Florida , United States
Rocket Languages is a wonderful tool for everyone who wants to expand their vocabulary in other languages. I personally have been taking Spanish and like my life motto, "I regret nothing." I would recommend Rocket Languages to anyone who needs to learn a different language for school or for pleasure.

I've just started the first few lessons and I really like the conversational approach to learning and the additional form of testing that follows. Unlike other learning platforms that I've tried that encourage you to speak, Rocket's approach of using voice recognition makes it into a kind of game where you feel that speaking correctly matters. I also love how you can stand in for one of the speakers in a pseudo-realtime conversation. It feels that one step closer to learning with another person. On the negative side, I find the male teacher to be a bit too 'smily', like he is talking to children. This isn't especially off-putting when we get to the actual conversations and explanations but it doesn't really help with learning. I guess they wanted the male and female teachers to have some kind of rapport with the students but it feels forced.
Rocket Arabic — Sri Lanka
I was following several Arabic courses at the beginning and found out later that it is just waste of too much time if you do not have a well planned track for learning. Specially when I go through the rocket trial, I found that they way they deliver the course is best among I came across. It practices us to use the language instead of putting us on the difficult grammar and the science of the language. I believe directly diving in to the language will help us absorb, love and learn the language easily. I am on first module now. Hope it would help me to achieve a certain standard.
Rocket Hindi — Australia
I first tried Rocket Hindi 3 years ago and I was hooked after the first trial. It's my honest opinion that this software is a massive helper to all types of learners. I am far from a language buff and despite this Rocket has managed to lay down a rock solid foundation for this third language in my head. Now it's time to work my way up towards Rocket Hindi Hero then next stop Mumbai :D

Well, we do not like Paul's condescending and patronizing manner (it's not funny). We are both teachers, and we were hoping for more professionalism. My husband and I are going through the lessons together, and we feel the lesson content is practical and appropriate. We feel we are learning a lot to use in everyday situations. Bon Chance!
