I'm very pleased with my decision to learn Spanish, and Rocket Languages has been the best language learning software I've used so far (I've also used Rosetta Stone & Pimsleur). !

I'm impressed by Rocket Languages: I'm learning much more than I thought was possible online and having a good deal of fun. It's pedagogically-savvy (more so than other language-learning products) because it uses a variety of learning methods. I plan on using Rocket to learn my next language.

I love it! Makes learning a language fun and enjoyable. I was very hesitante to go with the program. But found it to be better than Rosetta stone and others out there. Not only are you able to learn new language, but you are able to pratice them in different ways. Each section has games, quizzes, spelling tests, speaking tests and more than enable you to learn the language. And you can do it at your own pace. Plus since you can get an online version it can be done from anywhere you can get internet!

Probably the best language tool I've come across. Actually love it more than Rosetta Stone and Duolingo. I will definitely be paying for the full product.
The 6 day free preview is a blast to field languages to see if they will work for you. I strongly recommend everyone consider the ASL which is not what I typically expect to find in language courses. Full immersion with video only. Great for hearing and hard of hearing who are lip readers. Tempted to overload with multiple languages (looked at Korean. After one look I have a far better understanding of written Korean) Absolutely worth it!

Hello. I was born in the United States so my first language is English. Currently I’m extremely fluent in Spanish and Italian. I’ll elaborate on that later. I retired in 2008. In December of 2009 it was decided to purchase Rocket Spanish for myself as a Christmas present. Only Premium, Premium Plus and Platinum were available at that time so all 3 levels were purchased. I had no prior language training during life and no experience talking to others in any language except English. Rocket Spanish was downloaded to an iPod as part of my New Year resolution. I practiced most days while exercising and repeating everything aloud. Everything was finished multiple times that was contained in the Premium or first level in March. The entire level was basically memorized from repeating it so many times. The beginning of April 2010 I went to Panama on vacation for 3 weeks by myself. I didn’t get an interpreter and just went for it and made my way around much of the country by myself taking local bus transportation. The reality was for 4 days I was like “aaaaa”, then suddenly my brain said oh apparently you’re serious and started working without any problem speaking the Spanish I learned in the Premium course. I only spoke aloud to myself previously and never spoke with anyone in Spanish prior to landing in the country of Panama. After returning from Panama in late April 2010 I repeated the Premium level one course then went off with a vengeance to learn levels two and three. After completing all the Rocket Spanish Levels numerous times Penton’s VocabuLearn audio series of 3 levels totaling 4500 words was used plus Penton’s Spanish Verbs 101. As of February 2018 I’ve been in every Spanish speaking country in Central and South America plus Spain totaling just over 28 months of total vacation time between my 23 trips. The Patagonia area was a great get away as I hung out with and met all kinds of interesting folks. After all this I then decided to learn Italian before visiting Europe for the first time so all 3 levels of Rocket Italian was purchased in November 2014. All 3 levels were completed multiple times by June 2015. So in July 2015 I boarded a plane and flew to Italy for the first time. Spent 3 months there on vacation and visited Spain also for 2 weeks during that trip. Many people in Italy speak some English but it sure was nice to not have to or have others think I was from a Spanish speaking country because at times you may inadvertently use a word from another language while conversing. Thus far I’ve spent a total of 7 months in Italy between my 4 trips which takes me to February 2018. That’s all I know and it sure beat sitting on the couch thinking about traveling abroad.

Brilliant! This course is so well designed that you simply cannot fail if you follow the steps. It has been the single greatest approach I've found for learning Spanish easily. Mauricio, Amy and Carmen are super helpful. It's been a good investment.

Being married to a German, and working for a German company, I have the pleasure of traveling to Germany for 2 weeks (or more) every year. For years, I tried to learn enough German to not embarrass myself while visiting.
After trying to teach myself with free online websites, I decided I wanted to learn bad enough to spend some money on a quality product, so I tried Rosetta Stone. Man, I kick myself every day for wasting my money on that crap. There are no rules, and nothing is ever explained, so I found myself more confused and frustrated than ever. Admittedly, I learned a few words and phrases, but never enough to confidently put together a real conversation. I mean, how often do you say "The boy runs" or "The man sleeps" in everyday conversation? I finished the whole first section, and could not hold an everyday conversation with my wife. Next, I tried the Pimsleur Approach. This was 100 times more useful than Rosetta Stone (but still on the pricey side). However, since it's all audio, you don't get to see the words and phrases that you're learning and, to me, that is helpful. Also, the whole first lesson is basically learning phrases for business travel. This was good when I was on business trips, but no real help when dealing with my wife's family, or even the general public. It's also very hard to stick with because it does get quite repetitive (aka boring). You can learn a good bit, but without being able to see things, and write them, and quiz yourself, it's very hard to get beyond basic German. After a few more programs and audio cds, I almost gave up. Just messing around on the internet one day, I stumbled upon Rocket Languages. Even though I had learned the very basics of German, part of me still wished I could learn more, so I decided to try the free trial. Wow, talk about the complete package! Even after one lesson, you can tell that this is a different kind of learning system. It provides you with everything you need to be successful. The lessons are fun, and rarely repetitive. It gives you the chance to see and write what you're learning, plus you can check your pronunciation against the speakers. One of the best parts of Rocket Languages is that I can take it anywhere! I don't have to download any computer programs. I can download that days lesson in PDF or audio form if I know I won't be near my computer. Not to mention, the smartphone and Kindle apps are amazing! Rocket Languages are cheaper than the competition, but so much better! Take it from the guy who has wasted countless time and money on trying to learn a language. Save yourself the frustration! Rocket Languages should be your first and ONLY choice!

Great interactive program .. already know a lot of Spanish, but always lacked to one-on-one conversation interaction when I am not in Latin America and need to practice. On occasion, the speaker is too fast it seems, but is only in a few instances. The writing of the words is also a great addition -- I have to text a lot in Spanish and have always been a little tentative about my spelling or having to go to Google Translate to make sure I had it right. With the Rocket Spanish program, it re-enforces my spelling, accents, and word order / tenses. Overall was just the program I needed. Overall A+

I just LOVE my Rocket French courses. I purchased the complete CD packages (Rocket French 1, 2, 3) and listen to them over and over in the car. This is a no- hassle, no-pressure, easy and relaxed way to learn another language. A great language learning system!

I first started my Italian lessons using Rosetta Stone. After spending almost $300 on the complete Italian course, I advanced pretty quickly and then just gave up after completing a few levels. It was a chore and not fun. I never felt that I was actually learning anything that was useful. I was not retaining the materials. Then I tried Rocket Italian, purchasing the complete course. I love Rocket Italian so much more! I feel I am really absorbing the content. I like the interactivity, the dialogues, the real usefulness of the conversations. Thank you, Rocket Italian!
