Rocket Spanish — United States
Even though I am retired, I still find it very easy to learn Spanish with Rocket. My wife and I are preparing for a trip to South America. This course is wonderful. I love all the different ways that are available to study the language. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Rocket Italian — Boulder, CO , United States
I have used rocket Spanish and loved it. I will soon be taking a trip to Italy so I am now trying to learn using rocket Italian . Rocket Languages, in my opinion, are the very best and easiest way to learn a new language.
Rocket Spanish — Lafayette, Louisiana , United States
I love RocketSpanish! It provides such great tools for learning a new language. I am a medical student learning Spanish for the purpose of actual conversation, and this program teaches me what I need to know! I love the design. It's very user friendly. I got it on Cyber Monday sale, definitely the biggest bang for my buck!
Rocket Sign Language — Tampa, Fl , United States
The training was simple and the layout was neat. Hand signs were clear and effective, a tip i would give is to make more available to those who may just want to learn more about the language or can not afford "premium" service.
Rocket Hindi — NEW YORK , United States
I like the encouragement of the real-person tutor, and the badges and the check-ins with me. I am impressed by the voice-recognition software, and how you take roles in a conversation. Most of my school experience (Latin, French, Spanish, German) was with the Grammar Translation Method, and speaking has always been a stumbling block with me, although I love learning languages. This really makes it seem fun, and I already like learning languages, yet I've been pressed for time by work. This makes learning on my own stress-free. I especially love that writing, speaking, reading and listening are all incorporated!! I love that Rocket Language exists!!!
Rocket Russian — Florida , United States
I decided to buy Rocket Language Russian because I have always been fascinated by this language. Every day , I walk my dog for 1h and listen to an Audio Lesson. I practice Russian of course BUT also English since the comments are in English ( I'm French ).
To be honest, I was skeptical but after only one month I honestly can say I made real progress, it's not boring at all, it's easy and each day I feel like having Russian friends talking to me. I'm training my memory and after a few months, I will add this skill to my resume!
Rocket Spanish — United States
Even though I have just started the Rocket Spanish course I can already say that it goes beyond many other Spanish training classes/software I have taken before. I have tried the other major products (Rosetta Stone, Pimsleur, CD's and books (yes, I have been trying on and off for 20 years), DuoLingo) and Rocket Spanish takes the best from each. I like how it explains the reasoning of why the grammar is the way it is (DuoLingo doesn't do that) and gives you practice in listening, reading, and speaking. That last one is the one I need to do more of... speaking. Once I get deeper into the courses I will write another review, but so far it is much more than I expected.
Rocket Portuguese — United States
I've been using Rocket for the past month along with a couple other language programs (Pimsleur, transparent, Duolingo, and Memrise) to boost my learning of Portuguese. Overall, I really like Rocket. The ability to download the audio is a big help as I commute a lot. The audio training is not as in depth as Pimsleur, but it is very good. The variety of lessons and the ability to jump around is great. The leader board helps to provide incentive to keep practicing which helps. Also, the entire program is very well rounded.
I sometimes have trouble with the record audio but it works most of the time. It is nice to be able to hear your own voice and compare to the teachers for accuracy. My biggest complaint with Rocket Portuguese is with the male speaker (Paulo). His pronunciation of words ending in "s" has a very harsh "sh" sound which is completely different from the female teacher and every other audio teacher I have heard. Words like "Bem vindos" which has a soft "os" ending are pronounced like "Bem vindoosh". I can understand that Paulo may be from a different part of Brazil and perhaps it is pronounced that way there. However, when every other teacher pronounces it with a soft ending you want to practice and mimmic the right way. Overall, this is a great program and I plan on becoming conversationally fluent with Portuguese with Rocket's help.
Rocket Italian — Canada
I absolutely adore Rocket Languages! I can't believe how much I'm learning and how good I feel about it. I've tried many language learning programs before (including the much-touted Rosseta Stone) and there is definitely no comparison. The key to Rocket Languages' superiority are the audio lessons with the hosts. They "get" how adults learn and take the time to stop and tell you the grammar. The humor is appreciated as well. I really feel like I have a shot at improving my Italian in time for my trip next April. I can also hardly wait to finish the Italian course so I can then purchase the French course. I highly recommend Rocket Languages.
Rocket French — France
Rocket French is the only course I have tried that succeeds in getting you talking. Many courses can teach you the basics as you sit in a class and take your turn to say something, or do online exercises but you still get tongue tied the second you try to use it in real life. Rocket French can get you past that.
I have 17 years in London with a French wife learning french on and off, and now live in France so need to use it. Learning a language in my opinion requires three things in general order (but even better if done in parallel) 1. A strong base of grammar and vocabulary to have something to work with 2. Speaking the language out loud to get into the habit of using it correctly without reflection 3. Moving to the country and chucking yourself in the deep end to expand and refine. Most courses can do 1, only you can do 3, but in my opinion after many years of french study rocket french is the only one that does 2 with depth and substance. Speaking correctly is also important, as although I have been speaking rough french for years that gets me by in family gatherings, only in doing the saying then writing that you really start nailing the articles and gender etc to really move forward.
