Hola and welcome to the Rocket Spanish Newsletter Series!

If you need to schedule a meeting with a friend you’ll need to know the days of the week and times of the day. My favorite time of the week is the “Sábado” that’s for sure! And even though “Lunes” is my least favorite day of the week, it’s still a handy word to know. A useful word to know is "juntar" meaning "to meet" when used to make plans to go out or meet people.

Shall we meet up? (informal) ¿Nos Juntamos?
What time shall we meet ?  ¿A qué hora nos vemos?
¿A qué hora nos juntamos?
Where can we meet ? ¿Dónde nos podemos juntar?
Where will we meet ? ¿Dónde nos juntamos?
Where shall we go ? ¿A dónde vamos?
What about tomorrow ? ¿Qué tal mañana?
Next week ? ¿La proxima semana?
On the weekend ? ¿En el fin de semana?
During the week ? ¿Durante la semana?

Once you’ve agreed on a day you need to agree on a time… ¿Qué tal... ? What about.... ?

Winter Invierno

There are no two Spanish-speaking countries with seasons that are exactly alike. Countries in the lower part of the southern hemisphere experience four seasons, but when it’s winter in America, its fall there! Some countries close to the equator don’t have four seasons, and on high mountainous countries, there is snow all year!

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed the lesson.
