Today, we’ll be learning Romantic Spanish Phrases! You will hear these expressions a lot when traveling in a Spanish- speaking country.

Do you want to go out to…? ¿Quieres salir a…?
I would like to… Me gustaría…
I would love to… Me encataría…
Certainly Claro / Por supuesto
Would you like…?(casual) Quieres...?
Would you like…?(formal) Le gustaría...?
I like that very much. Me gusta mucho.
I don’t like that very much. No me gusta tanto.
That’s fun! ¡Qué  divertido!
That’s boring! ¡Qué  aburrido!
You’re welcome. De nada / Con mucho gusto.

What do you do when you meet someone and you realize that you are falling in love? Here are some phrases you might want to use… please note that "Te quiero" is much stronger than "I like you", it really means "I have feelings for you", but it's not quite as strong as "I love you".

I like you (romantic). Me gustas / Te quiero
I like you (friendly way). Me caes bien.
I like you very much. (romantic.) Te quiero mucho.
I’m in love. Estoy enamorada / Estoy enamorado.

If you want to confess your love to someone, just say

I love you. Te amo.
I adore you. Te adoro.
I need you. Te necesito.

I love you, too. Yo tambiénte amo.

If you want to find out if someone loves you, ask.

Do you love me? ¿Me amas? / ¿Me quieres?

If you love someone more than anything say…

I love you more than anything in the world! Te amo más que nadaen el mundo!

Or, if you’ve found the love of your life, say...

You are the love of my life. Eres el amor de mi vida.

And, one more romantic phrase...

I love you with all my heart. Te quiero con todo mi corazón.

You can ask someone out for a date by saying one of the following phrases…

Do you want to go out with me? (casual) ¿Quieres salir conmigo?
Would you like to go out with me? (formal) ¿Te gustaría salir conmigo?
Would you like to have dinner tonight? ¿Quieres cenar juntos esta noche?
I would like to take you out. Me gustaría salir contigo.

If the date went successful you might want to say…

Thank you for a lovely day… Gracias por un día maravilloso.
Thank you for a lovely night… Gracias por una noche maravillosa.

Some more useful phrases when dating the man or woman of your dreams…

How beautiful you look! Que hermosa te vez! / Que hermoso te vez!
You make me happy. Me haces feliz.
You are so sweet. Eres tan cariñosa / cariñoso
I want to be with you forever. Quiero estar contigo para siempre.
I always think of you. Pienso en ti siempre.
You are the most beautiful person in the world. Eres la persona más hermosa / hermoso del mundo.
Do you want to marry me? ¿Quieres casarte conmigo?
¿Te gustaría casarte conmigo?
You are the man of my dreams. Eres el hombre de mis sueños.
You are the woman of my dreams. Eres la mujer de mis sueños.
You are incredible! ¡Eres increible!

If you are going out with someone who is not exactly what you were hoping for you could say…

I just want to be friends. Solo quiero ser amigos.
I don’t like you. Me caes mal.
I’m not interested. No estoy interesada / interesado
Leave me alone. jame sola / solo
