We’re talking about explaining to a friend what happened when you went somewhere or did something. As always we also review material taught in the previous lesson.
	Audio Track 3 El Libro Perdido (The Lost Book) 30 min: We’re going to study a few more verbs in the past tense and at the same time learn how to find something we lost. Sound exciting? If you’ve lost something, it’s useful to be able to explain where you last saw it and where you’ve already looked. It’s also useful to be able to ask someone if they’ve seen it.
	Audio Track 4 El Cine (The Movies) 27 min: You’re going to learn how to talk about what you did last weekend. It’s another fantastic opportunity to practice the past tense, especially how to talk about where you went and how something was. You’ll be practicing a lot with “ir” and “ser” in the past, so put on those thinking caps - You’ll notice a LOT of fuis and fues in this lesson. Some of them mean “went” and others mean “was,” and the only way to guess which is which, is through context. Luckily, by the end of this lesson you’ll be fui-ing and fue-ing like an expert!
	Audio Track 5 El Concierto (The Concert) 35 min: By the end of this lesson you’ll have learned a ton of fascinating things, like how to say you’ve met someone famous, how to talk about the best part of an experience, how to ask if something was worth it, and how to talk about sneaking into somewhere. You’ll also discover (and practice using) a few very special verbs that change meaning in the past tense (plus a little bit of reflexive verb practice).
	Audio Track 6 Los Pasatiempos (Past times or hobbies) 31 min: This lesson wraps up the section on the Past Tense. Upon completing this section, you should feel confident conjugating regular verbs in the past tense, and be very good at conjugating irregular verbs. In this lesson Carmen is going to tell us some of her favorite ways to pass the time, as well as clue us up on what Mauricio was like as a little boy….
	Audio Track 7 Cuando Era Joven… (When I was young...) 32 min: Yes, in Latin American countries, just like in English-speaking ones, you’ll hear people talking all the time about what the world was like when they were young. And often the people doing the talking are parents giving advice to their children. In this lesson we’re going to be discussing the imperfect past tense. It’s another way of talking about what happened in the past in Spanish. In comparison with the preterite tense, which is used to talk about events or things that happened at a certain point in the past, the imperfect past tense is used to talk about past actions that are indefinite, continuous, or incomplete. So if you want to talk about how old someone was, or what time it was, or physical characteristics, states, or emotions in the past, you’d also use the imperfect tense.
	Audio Track 8 Una Charla sobre La Historia de Chile… (A Lecture on Chilean History) 37 min: This is a fun lesson, as it incorporates all sorts of different verb tenses in Spanish. This is the sort of information every child learns in school. You’ll learn the highlights of Chilean history, which have parallels in every single South American country: the European discovery of America, the fight for independence, the fate of the indigenous cultures…
	Audio Track 9 La Literatura Chilena (Chilean Literature) 38 min: In this lesson we’re going to talk about the kind of books that Mauricio grew up with in his family. You’re also going to get a lot of practice with the past progressive. Don’t be scared off by the term: it refers to verbs like, “I was studying,” or “I was thinking,” or, “I was teaching.” By the end of the lesson, you’ll know how to form all of these verbs in Spanish – and let me tell you now, it’s not hard at all!
	Audio Track 10 Los Momentos Inolvidables (those things in life that are simply unforgettable) 29 min: In this lesson, we’re going back to the topic of telling someone about your personal history, focusing on the story that all of us women love to hear: how a couple came to get married.
	Audio Track 11 ¿Hace Cuánto Tiempo Que Pasó? (How Long Ago Did It Happen?) 34 min: Now, you may think that it’s a bit of a stretch to have a whole lesson on the question, “How long ago did it happen?” But I can tell you from experience: this is one of those great conversation extenders. If someone tells you that they used to live in the United States, or that they used to teach a foreign language, you can ask, “How long ago?” It’s a great way of showing interest in what they’re telling you and helps you mentally place things in time. The idea is that there are 101 uses for the phrase, “How long ago?” And in this lesson, you’re going to learn a few of them.
	Audio Track 12 Una Leyenda Mexicana (A Mexican Legend) 39 min: In this lesson, we’ll review what you’ve learned in the past five lessons about the imperfect past tense. And you’re also going to learn a very famous story about a flower that’s come to symbolize Christmas: the poinsettia.
	Business Spanish One Audio Track 13 El Tráfico Terrible (The Terrible Traffic) 39 min: In this section of the course, you’re going to learn how to use those little words in Spanish that enable you to express yourself more precisely. Words like hacia, desde, hasta, por, and para. And to showcase these prepositions and other useful words, we’re going to be discussing El Trabajo y Los Negocios, all of those aspects of working life from the morning commute to asking for a raise, doing your banking, and even starting a business.
	Business Spanish Two Audio Track 14 Una Oferta de Trabajo (A Job Offer!) 31 min: In this lesson, we’re here with special guest Carmen to talk about some of the vocabulary you might encounter if you ever look for work or are offered a job in a Spanish-speaking country. Working in Latin America is similar in many respects to working in other parts of the world. You need to have an interview and negotiate your salary. You can work on projects and ask for a raise. But to do all of these things, you need some understanding of how to express yourself in Spanish.
	Business Spanish Three Audio Track 15 Una Visita al Banco (A Visit to the Bank) 37 min: In this lesson, you’re going to practice some more of those important words in Spanish that we tend not to think about that much: prepositions. And to learn a bit more about prepositions, we’re going to a bank to find out how to do your banking in Spanish.
	Business Spanish Four Audio Track 16 La Oficina de Correos (The Post Office) 38 min: You’ll learn how to make more use of verbs in this lesson, in particular in their unconjugated, or infinitive form. In this lesson you’ll get to review a lot of what you have learned in previous lessons, and you’ll learn how to mail anything in a Spanish-speaking country.
	Business Spanish Five Audio Track 17 Un Proyecto Importante (An Important Project) 37 min: Practice and master the use of “por” and “para” through learning a little bit about Mauricio’s job and what he gets to do every day.
	Business Spanish Six Audio Track 18 El Ciberespacio (Cyberspace) 41 min: You’ll learn so much in this lesson: how to talk about chatting and surfing the web, business words like to retire and the minimum wage and much more!
	Audio Track 19 Buenas Noticias (Good News) 38 min: You’re into the next section of the course, all about Connecting Ideas. You’re going to start off learning a bit more about asking questions before you plunge into some of the trickiest phrases in Spanish: “about which,” “to whom,” “but rather,” “neither – nor,” et cetera. These phrases connect ideas and allow you to create more complex and detailed sentences.
	Audio Track 20 La Novia de Mario (Mario’s Girlfriend) 32 min: In this lesson, we’re going to get a little more practice with questions – which have nothing to do with requests, but come from that “other” asking verb pedir (as practiced in previous lessons). And we’re also going to find out what’s going on with Mario. So Mario has a girlfriend? You’ll also learn a lot of phrases you can use if you ever get angry.
	Audio Track 21 La Aventura Comienza (The Adventure Begins) 53 min: We continue the story from the previous lesson, and in the process, we pay attention to some very interesting little words in Spanish called relative pronouns: lo que, lo cual, a quien… You’ll be able to use them yourself by the end of the lesson!
	Audio Track 22 El Cambio en Mario (The Change in Mario) 43 min: Now, in this lesson you’re going to have fun with saying “either ... or” and “neither … nor” in Spanish! And you’re going to practice some new words and phrases for protecting the environment. So if being eco-friendly is important to you, listen closely to this lesson!
	Audio Track 23 La Conservación de la Naturaleza (Nature Conservation) 44 min: Such a politically aware topic, and quite important if you’re interested in eco-tourism or volunteering for conservation projects. You’ll also be practicing “Pero” and “Sino.” “Pero” is a word you’ve come across many times before in Spanish – it means but. “Sino,” on the other hand, may be new to you. It means, “but rather,” or “on the contrary.” You’ll be able to hear the difference as we go through the conversation.
	Audio Track 24 Los Mejores Amigos (Best Friends) 37 min: We continue the story about Mauricio and Mario’s girlfriend. In doing this you’ll get to practice a lot of Spanish verbs, some from previous lessons, and other new ones.
