Audio for extra vocabulary

Thank you for a very inspiring course! It would be great if you had audio examples of the extra vocabulary. Also, I wonder about the words I keep in my own dictionary. When I play the audio sample it doesn't play the word but the whole sentence from where it was taken (I think). I would prefer if it's just the words. Xiexie!

Agreed! I've just discovered Rocket Chinese online and began working through the 3-day free trial. It seems like a pretty big oversight to include extra vocabulary in a lesson, but not bother to give audio demonstrations of those words. So I can spend 20 minutes listening to an extended drawn out dialogue that takes me through every word one-by-one, but then I'm free to go butcher the pronunciation of the extra vocabulary because I haven't the slightest idea how it should sound? Preyy big oversight indeed.

Ni hao everyone! As you may be aware, My Vocab is a pretty new feature of Rocket Chinese. We are currently in the process of finding a great way to make every word available with a sound clip. But that's quite a task and we do have ten languages to do that with! I will let our Product Development team know we are still getting requests and maybe that will speed up the process. :) Lin Ping

Thanks! Another thing: if you save a word in your vocab, you can't deleate or edit them afterwards. Which is bad for a misstake-making-person like me...

Yes it is....BUT I have found nothing to compare with http://www.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php It is so easy to use, translate pinyin or English words or sentences. Allow you to type characters from Pinyin, or type Pinyin with tone indicators etc etc. and it is free.

欢迎来到Rocket中文,Reginald! If I remember correctly, the audio says 双程票 shuāng chéng piào, right? Chéng means "journey" among other things, so then the vocab means "double journey ticket". http://www.nciku.com/search/zh/detail/%E7%A8%8B/1301939?tooltip=1 I find myself here alot recently: http://www.chinese-forums.com/index.php?/index
