Scoring integrity questioned

Someone whose account has been inactive for months just returned to Rocket Chinese and scored over 82000 points in one day. Previously, I have noted another person scoring over 25000 points in a single day. These huge surges in point totals indicate either a breakage in your system or manipulation by the user. Regardless, this activity undermines the integrity of your language teaching model. The point system is a useful tool in learning a language. Please correct this violation.

I have no idea how someone can earn so many points in one day, but I have noticed that it would be easy to manipulate the scoring to gain more points faster. It's a shame that someone would use the system that way. I would rather earn fewer points and make sure I'm really learning. I just wish I could learn faster. I keep having to review and review. Sometimes it adds points, and sometimes it doesn't. The learning is the important thing, but the points do encourage me.

I have a hunch what is happening it that when a user becomes #1 on the leaderboard, Rocket stops showing their accumulations on the leaderboard until someone else becomes #1. Then, all of a sudden, at some point, all the points that the former #1 had accumulated is then shown on the leaderboard.

Rocket Language Support has informed me that they have identified the general source of the problem and are working on a fix. Perhaps, this is connected to my level of RL usage. I normally put in 3 - 4 hours a day studying Chinese and to RL's credit my language abilities have improved greatly over these last 130 days of intense study. Even with the rough edges, I highly recommend this product.
