While I am aware that Simplified Chinese is in widespread use, Traditional Chinese is still used in Taiwan and Hong Kong and I was wondering if there was a way to view the scripts in Traditional Chinese in addition to the Simplified. Thanks!!

I also have Japanese background, and Japanese kanji characters correspond more closely with Traditional than Simplified characters.

Yes. But they are 2 seperate / dialects languages? They also use traditional in Korea and Taiwan, However they don't use pin yin and learning chinese in Taiwan is horrendous: different English spelling for the same Chinese word (same as HK by the way). I would much prefer better English instead of the awful Lisa

Currently there is no option to view the Traditional Chinese characters. I am also in favor of the course containing both scripts.

Just a note. The only study books you can get from mainland China are in Simplified form. I agree when I was in Taiwan all was in Traditional but NO pin yin except very rare cases. If you need traditional just cut and paste into Babel fish or similar. Howard
