Hi, I'm currently working on Lesson 5.4 in the Rocket Chinese Course.
I'm struggling to grasp the use of 就 in this context.

我们花了整整一天的时间,可是就大概看了一下

The Rocket Chinese english translation for this sentence is:
'We spent a whole day there and did not even see everything.'

Can anyone help me please?

In this sentence, 就 refers to 'only'. The sentence literally means "we spent a whole day and only had a rough look". And it is translated into "didn't even have a good look"
