Is it true that it's easier for an Egyptian to understand someone speaking Syrian/Lebanese than it is for someone speaking Syrian/Lebanese to understand Egyptian?

Ahlan M. Decker, It would depend on how much Egyptian TV the Syrian/Lebanese person watches :) It's possible that the Syrian dialect is easier to understand but in general the dialects mostly understand each other. The Egyptian dialect can be difficult to understand because of the pronunciation and modified words but since it's a popular dialect it's not too big a deal! Hope that helps! - Amira
