I know it's against the rules to post in English, but here is your answer:
yao is used for the future tense. ie, something is going to happen or somebody is scheduled to do something. It can also be used to say "need to do"
xiang is used for making plans. we often use it when the subject of the sentence is planning to do or wanting to do something.
"I need to go to Beijing" and "I want to go to your house"
