I just took my second free lesson. I am having trouble getting the pronunciation correctly. Like the "r" in tres or parler. Or the pronunciation of "peu." I am very analytical, and I like to know exacly how to place my mouth and tongue to make the correct sounds. I remember one time I was on a message board as I was preparing for my first trip to France, and someone was talking about how to pronounce a certain sound. I've forgotten what the sound was that he was talking about, but his explanation was wonderful!! He said to shape your mouth as if you are saying the sound "o," in English, but instead of saying "o," you say the sound of "e." And it comes out sounding a little bit different than if you say "e" the way we say it in English normally, where our lips don't come together, but instead separate. Anyone have any suggestions?
