My mind is going to explode, I'm having a hard time grasping at the words. My family lives in Sweden and Germany, I really need to learn the German lang. Can anyone tell me what I will expect out of Rocket German

Hi there, I think first of all you will need to relax. The first steps when learning a new language are always the hardest, simply because everything is new. Listen to the first Interactive Audio Course lesson first. That way you will get a handle on the basics. Listen to it at least 3 times to make sure you are familiar with the words. Then move on to the next one. Once you have gone through the first 3-4 audio lessons you can work through the grammar notes. You will find that after the first few audio lessons things will get easier. There will many words that you recognize and the sounds will be more familiar. If you have the opportunity to practice with German speaking family members make the most of it. Using the language in "real life" helps a lot. Let us know how you get on.

When I started learning it was like trying to pronounce an english word backward. It takes a while to get the pronunciation down and I listen to each lesson 2-3 times. Don't worry, you'll be surprised when you can pronounce the super long words! Good Luck!
