I ran a quick query on a database I have built derived from data from Jim Breen's KanjiDic project -- results: no jouyou kanji not having an assigned frequency from that list. Regards, Peake

I'm sorry, I didn't quite understand your answer. I want an answer in layman's terms, are there, or are there not any jouyou kanji left out in the 2,051 most frequently used kanji, and if so, which are they?\n\nplus, your database seems useful, mind if you put the link to it, or email it to me? \n(my email address: [redacted] thanks!)

konnichiwa, vyre22607, Sorry about the obtuseness of my answer. I should have said no jouyou kanji are left out. I didn't eyeball the lists to verify my results, though, my brain would probably melt if I tried that :D The database is a work in progress (I keep tweaking the design and reformatting it :? ), so it's not really in a state to share. However, my data sources were from Jim Breen's KanjiDic[/url:1p6tvucn] and JMDict/EDict[/url:1p6tvucn] projects, and are publicly available for non-commercial use. A great website for Kanji lookups that is also built from Jim Breen's info is Kim Ahlström's Denshi Jisho[/url:1p6tvucn] website (online Japanese dictionary). I have found it very useful in looking up kanji for words used in the lessons I've done so far in Rocket Japanese :) Regards, Peake
