Typically in the US when we mention a house number or license plate number we say them
as individual numbers, for example, 209 would be two zero nine instead of two hundred and
nine. Which of these ways is it done in Japan? Also what is Japanese for 'zero'?

In Japanese, zero is simply ゼロ. Also, the Japanese do not read addresses only one way, although they usually do read them as 'two zero nine' as opposed to 'two hundred and nine'.

As per my knowledge, Japanese do read it as individual numbers, for example 8288 - hachi ni hachi hachi.
I would like to know what is the other way of reading the addresses or numers other than individual characters and complete numbers using the place values.
