hi sensei! l have a question. What is the difference between wa and ga in the sentence below. ~ Boku wa soba ni iru kara. ~ Boku ga soba ni iru kara. Could you elucidate those two? Please help!

In the first sentence, the emphasis goes on: soba ni iru kara, while in the second the emphasis goes on: boku. Practically, in the first one, you are reassuring the person with the fact the you (or someone else) IS AT HIS SIDE. In the second one, you are reassuring him that YOU (NOT someone else) are at his side. For starters, this would be the easiest way to understand the difference between wa and ga, by which part of the sentence is emphasised. More complicated stuff about these two will come in later lessons

Thanks Pascal-san. I finally got home and won't be leaving again any-time soon. I signed up for JLPT N3 this December so I have to finish the platinum course in order to be able to pass some practice tests :).
