Thought I would pass along the title of this album - it's my favorite so far in Spanish.

Of course, as Mauricio says in the course, "Sobre gustos, no hay nada escrito." :-)

I haven't heard that one yet, but I know that I'm not a fan of "She Wolf" by Shakira. Or I should probably say, "Loba" ;)

Thanks for sharing! :)

I like Mercedes Sosa; here's a Youtube link in case you'd like to listen to her:

She's not my favorite but I think she has a nice voice and great songs overall!

Cheers!

I will cast my vote for Gloria Estefan, No Llores

How many singers can get Carlos Santana and Jose Feliciano to back them up on the same song?

Hola a todos,

I don't recall how I first encountered the video of No Llores, but I do recall being knocked out by it and buying the album 90 Millas  right after.  As Marie has replied here, I hope it's okay to hijack this thread in the hope that she will see this and address Dan's grammar question about the subjunctive regarding :¡Esperemos que tenga buena voz!  and the use of "esperemos" as a trigger for the subjunctive.

Saludos,

Ricardo

Ricardo: I talked about "esperemos" with my tutor this week. We decided that it must be in the imperative. I will be interested in Marie's take on it as well.

Kelllaur - "Lobo" did not make my list either. Shakira does have some nice songs though. Here are a few that I like:
- Suerte
- Inevitable
- Tú

I also like "Waka Waka" but that doesn't go with the Spanish thing. I find the Samba beat quite uplifting!

All corrections are welcome!

Saludos,

Steven
