Dear Rocket French administrators,
I just have two questions. I have come to discover that using rocket french is lively, interesting and easy to understand but the most difficult aspect is listening and not looking at the graphics. After studying I'm able to translate from the French to English and from English to French correctly. But when I start a new lesson when the old one is being revised, I'm not able to understand what all that meant. I think I need to practice listening comprehension, where nothing is said in English. One just listens to a whole passage and answer questions at the end. My question is: Is it possible to have listening comprehension passages at the end of every chapter?
My second question is: Is it possible to be tested and have a certificate at the end of the course?

Merci for your post. I have some good news for you. We are currently in the process of revamping the members area. Part of the revamp is that you will be able to get Rocket French certificates for the different stages that you complete.
Secondly we are going to add a lot more interactive features like quizzes and self tests. That way you can check on your progress and work on areas that you find difficult.
These tests will help your listening comprehension as well.
We are hoping to have the new members area up and running shortly (end of next month)

Yes you have provided quizzes and self tests. This does not address the need to produce oral language on demand. That is why Grelinguistics suggested you explore the use of graphics.Pick up any language work book, even ones 20-30+ years old, and you will find stimulus graphics cuing answers to questions posed in the target language. On this site you could do so much more by creating audio tasks posed with both audio and graphic/animated cues, and allowing for oral replies which could then be checked against the correct response available on an audio file. The problem here is how to simulate a 'natural' conversation flow from the learner, yet without the interference of the learner's primary tongue. Your delivery method is over reliant on a didactic bi-lingual approach.

Could you please tell me which is the best way to tackle this course in French. Do I do the interactive audio first 1.1 and then move - on in the same 1.1. lesson to language and cultural lessons. I would like to be systematic about how I go about learning each stage before I know that I know that lesson and all its corollaries before moving on to the next stage.

THANKS FOR THIS WONDERFUL SITE. I AM JUST LEARNING A1 IN FRENCH AND I FIND THAT I AM VERY WEAK IN CLASS ESPECIALLY WITH THE LISTENING ABILITIES. I HAVE JUST STARTGED WITH ROCKET FRENCH AS WELL.
