I was wondering if the fluent claim is an exageration, or if I really can become fluent in french using rocket french continuously. For example, how good is it in comparison to studying French at University? Thankyou!

Rocket French is great, but will only get you so far. Theres no magic program out there that'll make you fluent. You got to do this yourself. If you want to become fluent ASAP, you must do as much as you can in French: watch TV, listen to the radio/music, read newspapers, etc. What would really help you achieve your goal of fluency is going to the country and really polishing up your skills. Thats my two cents.....

Hello, Being in this country is not a gaurantee that you will become fluent in speaking French, as for me I was leaving here for 7 months and still cannot speak the language well, and I cant even follow the conversation. C'est pas facile mais am sure in due time we will all learn this language if we put so much effort. The problem that I encounter here when I try to speak to people is my accent, they dont understand you even if you know the word because as foreigners we have a different accent so I guess we need to worked this out Gina

Bonjour, My accent ? Its like US english and French accent is completely different. Mais maintenant je essayé parle avec les gens and some people are nice, if you pronounce it uncorrectly they will correct you, mais il y les gens that will say Je ne comprend pas with high eyebrows, so c'est pas facile, well anyway thats my experience but I dont say that it will be same for all.

Bonjour Gina, I am Australian with that type of accent yet my French friends say that my French accent is surprisingly excellent. Not that surprising really though as i have been doing RF for over a year now and i practice constantly. I can mimic Paul, Marie Claire, Anne and Eric really well simply because of the volume of repetition! But i don't listen to Lauren with her strange American/French accent - maybe that's what you sound like? So all i can pass on is listen- repeat, listen - repeat over over and over. Sounds boring, but it's so much fun getting it right! Amusez vous bien David
