Is the pronunciation pretty much the same for these two phrases?

Hi there,
yes the pronunciation is really similar.
But if you pay attention, for the first one "Ils sont" the "s" is pronounced like there is "ss" and for the second one the liaison apply but the sound will be more like a "z".
