Intel Mac Users

Anyone else having problems with the mega french downloads with the new Intel Macs with OSX Leopard??
The program was clearly NOT written for us Mac users and they tell me they will eventually fix it. I love the course but am not happy that I miss out on a lot of what the Windows customers get to use and see.

Hello!

I'm running OSX 10.5.6 and have been unable to get the mega french downloads to function. It's a shame!

Did they attach a timeline to when they will fix this issue?

Salut,
I'm sorry about that.
We are working on a new version and should have an updated version online shortly.
I will announce it on the forum as soon as it is available for download.
Thanks for your patience.

I'm using 10.6.3 and I have managed to download the first 2 lessons but now I can't remember how I did it. You can't do it the way it is explained ie download or download as, as it saves as a link.

Hi Sophia & Colin,

Sorry for the late reply - if you download the Mac version of the MegaFrench software it should work on your computer.

If you are using Safari and are having trouble downloading the audio files as directed, please hold CTRL + click on the "Download the FULL audio" link display download options. If you select "Download linked file" it should downloaded the file with the correct file name to your default downloads folder. If you choose "Download linked file as..." you can choose where to save the file but it will name the MP3 file as "download.php.mp3" instead.

Please try using the "Download linked file" option to save the files which hopefully keeps the right file name. Otherwise, we recommend using Google Chrome (http://www.google.com/chrome) to access the course.

I hope this helps!
