Bonjour tout le monde, OK so I now live in Paris, France, I have been here for 3 months. I started using your program (which I love by the way) about 5 weeks ago I think. I should be further through but as you know things happen that are unavoidable. I just want to know what you think I can do to maximize my learning French. Things that could help are names of some easy to follow movies in French, music artists I began learning some music from Diams I hear it's alot of 'verlan' but I had a lot of fun doing it because I couldn't keep up and it made me laugh. Obviously I use the paroles online and think as I learn more French I will uncover the mystery of the French lyrics I learn. What is a good radio station to listen to? Also what book author is good for books for children just started to learn? I know I am asking alot but it's crucial I try to maximize my learning ability as I now live here and need the language not only for my work but to be more socially accepted. I'd love to be able to speak to my friends in French when they are talking to eachother. If you have any ideas please let me know I would be very grateful. Keep up the great work I really hope to see more lessons available ones I have completed the ones you have here. A Bientot Scotty

Hi Scotty, Paris is certainly a good place to live. Of course, some areas are nicer than others, but on the whole the city is vibrant and exciting. I would recommend mixing with locals as much as you can. You are right there, so make the most of it. Listening to French radio stations is of course also a great idea, just tune in on one that also plays the type of music that you enjoy. But most of all, sit in restaurants, or cafes and listen to the locals. Try to pick up as much as you can and you will learn French the way it is actually spoken. Amelie is a beautiful movie I think. You should check it out. I hope that helps. Claire
