J'ai une question? I was wondering is the French phone number system the same as the American or are there some exceptions

Hi there, The phone system is mainly the same as it is in USA, we have regional number which is define by the area code "01" for example for the region of Paris, "02" "03" and "04" for the other regions and it is followed by eight more numbers. The price to call in a land line in France is normally a fixed price, it is not divided by region. And you must be aware that some number have higher price but it will be mentioned by a voice message once you dialed it. I hope it helps, Let me know if you have more questions, Regards, Nathalie
