Hi, I have just done this quiz and the answer for one of the questions was
"Mettre le table". I thought table was feminine so it should be la table, but does the word in front affect it. Any help appreciated please.

Hi Sheila, I can't explain the quiz answer, but I think you are right in thinking that it should be 'mettre la table'. The online dictionary, Ultralingua, agrees with you with the entry : << mettre la table >> (expr.); set the table (expr.)
