Referring to him when the subject is a woman

Allison LTue, 01 Nov 2011 19:18:04 -0500
I have started reading French news by copying and pasting on the I translate app and have noticed that where the article is talking about a woman, the translation says 'him' where I think it should say 'her' etc, is this to do with the app or is there a reason this may happen? Thank you

most probably it's the app's fault. There isn't any translation tool yet which can translate sentences from a language to another in a perfect way, as this action requires a lot of adaptation and improvisation to get it right.
If I were you, I'd try translating only the words which I don't know (separately, not in sentences) and then putting them together as this helps you in 2 ways: 1 - learn more vocab and 2 - exercise the sentence structures and the way the words are arranged in a phrase.
