When we go to France in September, I need to be able to say "My husband is allergic to capers!" Can someone give me the translation and pronunciation guide? I certainly don't want to get this wrong! Marcy

Bonjour Marcy! Je suis très désolé que cette réponse vous trouve en retard! I'm very sorry this reply has got to you so late but I shall answer your question all the same. To say "May husband is allergic to capers" we would say "Mon marie est allergique aux bonds légers." Don't forget to pronounce the 't' at the end of the word "est". J'éspère que cela vous aide! - I hope this helps. - Marie-Claire

Bonjour Marie-Claire Is this correct ? Ma marie est très allergique aux arachides. My wife has a severe peanut allergy, she has less than 10 minutes . how common is it to use peanuts in cooking in France? We will be visiting Paris in June 2013. Bonne chance et a bientôt

Bon après-midi Marie; je suis perde à cause de le pronom (me) , quelque-temps il vient immédiatement avec le pronom Je comme je me parlé; pourquoi?

Bonjour le clochard, Yes, that is correct however, I would be inclined to say something more like "cachouètes" instead of "arachides" because its quite formal and often refers to the plant as opposed to the actual nut. Salut efageari, The 'me' is a personal pronoun that is used before verb to make them reflexive. What that means is that the action that is being performed is being done to whoever the pronoun is referring to. In this case we are looking at 'me' which means 'me' or 'I' and therefore the sentence "Je me parle" would mean, "I speak to myself" I hope this helps, - Marie-Claire
