Bonjour Jonnybegood, "Petit" is an adjective that is used to modify a noun, for example: "a little house" - "une petite maison". However, if you want to modify a verb or in your case an adjective we need to use an adverb, for example "a little tired" - "un peu fatigué". "un peu" in this case is used as an adverb. J'espère que cela vous aide et si jamais vous avez toujours des questions, n'hésitez pas de me demander. - I hope that this helps and if you still have any questions then don't hesitate to ask. À bientôt - Marie-Claire

Please explain the following: a) zero gloriole b) embrasser, which can be used in various ways. How many ways can this be used. For instance, it is used differently when you say, "Le regard est éveillé, prêt à balayer la glace, à l'embrasser." Thank you.
