Is there any talk of adding any new languages? I want to learn Russian, but of course it isn't offered at the moment.

Our Rocket Portuguese course is scheduled to be released in about 8 weeks which should give you plenty of time to learn the language for the world cup :)

Yes, you can sign up for multiple languages and they will simply be added to your current account. You won't need different logins for the different courses - everything will be available together in the same place.

Hi all. Thanks for the suggestions! We are a small company with limited resources, for example, we have 15 people on the Rocket team compared to Rosetta Stone who have over 1,300. This means we have to be very selective about what projects we take on.
As you all probably know, we have just finished the 2013 Edition of our courses and are moving onto getting our Apps completed in Q1 2013. In saying that I will keep you all informed of what languages are coming sometime in Q1!

Hi Claudia - It's definitely a juggling act for us, certainly with the lead up to the release of the 2013 Edition we concentrated on making the course more effective and user-friendly in the way that it works. I suppose that is our advantage over larger companies, we can roll out updates and upgrades relatively easily. Happy Holidays to you too!

I am using the Rocket German and have the Rosetta Stone Spanish that I bought several years ago. I definitely like the Rocket Languages method better because of the explanations. I am a teacher and have recommended it to our ESL teachers since she seems to have a lot of problems with Rosetta Stone. Plus she wants her daughter to be bilingual so I've recommended it to her for personal use too.

I like Rocket German better than Rosetta Stone too. I tried Rosetta Stone probably more than 5 years ago and, at that time anyway, didn't find it all that effective. It was good for visual learners, but what I didn't like was the lack of explanations as Libbylos noted. I realize it's touted as "right brain" oriented the way kids learn, but I don't think that approach works particularly well for adults who, like it or not, are mostly left brain learners. I like understanding grammar and rules. Of course, you can go too far that way too like some high school courses where practically all you learn is grammar and hardly any useful vocabulary. I think Rocket German has done an excellent job of creating a balance between grammar and learning useful words and expressions.

I'd just like to back up the suggestions for a Tagalog course. Rocket Languages is definitely one of the best ways to learn a language and since I know several people who speak Tagalog, it'd be great to have a Rocket Language course to learn it. And thanks so much for all the hard work you do!

Hi Zacharie - Sorry, Russian isnt on the list right now. We are concentrating on improving how our current courses work in the short term. In addition to the 2014 Edition changes there are a couple more innovations coming out over the next 2-3 months!

Surprising how many Russians are in the U.S. now since the collapse of the Soviet Union. There are several families in my neighborhood and I hear it spoken quite frequently (at least sounds Russian) in the Minneapolis area. There might be a lot of interest. I think I would even sign up for a course although I'm far from proficient in German. It would be fun to learn just a few phrases.

Hi Dan - Unfortunately there are no plans for a Premium Plus version of Rocket Portuguese. However, we have been looking at producing a Rocket Russian course, and hope to get this live in 4-5 months time.

Hi Naomi - It's hard for us to find Gaelic speakers, and our courses take an awful lot of time and effort to put together. So, unless there is a worldwide Gaelic renaissance unfortunately it won't be on the cards for us to do.

The area I come from is supposedly the home of Gaelic and I don't know anyone who can say more than a few phrases, it may be on sign posts but it's pretty much a dead language unfortunately.
