Thanks so much for posting this!  I looked up this song on UTube and love it!  I'd really like to find a translation into English though and haven't been able to find one. Thanks for posting the German lyrics!

You picked one of my favourite singers to practice. Well done with the spelling and none of the users seem to have found any mistakes. I could see one, "Ganz plötzlich stinktes" should be "stinkt es" or "stinkt's" .

Hi all, I've just been listening to a couple of Annett's songs (including this one).

I think I can understand most of the lyrics that Jason's posted above, but am having a bit of a problem with what may be colloquialisms and wonder if anyone has any ideas:
"Unser Schlaf hängt am Tropf
von den Bildern im Kopf.
Du trägst ihn links"
and
"Wie er grad bringt's".

Also I assume that Boot Wagen Haus means houseboat or something like that?

My translation will be not as poetic as the German version but I'll do my best to translate the closest way to literal meaning. First let me just give you an overall explanation. As the title suggests the song is about people giving you too much information by telling you intimate details and overstepping that social boundary leaving you with those pictures in your head. There are lot of examples given where people overstepping boundaries by telling you every detail about the "OP" an operation someone had, story about his/her toe, your neighbours noises or the story about the ex girlfriend.
"Unser Schlaf hängt am Tropf von den Bildern im Kopf"= "Our sleep is hanging at the drip feed from the pictures in the head"
Too much information about "Wie er grad bringt's" which means "How he is performing".

Thankyou for this. Another band I have been enjoying is Wir Sind Helden which has a similar sound.

With regards to this song I am having trouble hearing the word Wir in two lines. So I am wondering if the translation is incorrect or if it is my hearing?

e.g. Wollen wir das wissen müssen?
         Nein wollen wir nicht.

Just played it again, and it sounds like the 'e' in "wollen" is elided, so it could be written

"Woll'n wir das wissen müssen?",  and  "Nein, woll'n wir nicht."

Also, just checked out Wir sind Helden, specifically their Nur Ein Wort  video.
