Meine lieblings deutsche Band, Silbermond, hat ein Lied das heißt, "Meer Sein." Es gibt zwei Zeilen:
"Wir könnten viel mehr sein
Lasst uns ein Meer sein "
Kommt "Lasst uns ein Meer sein" aus eine deutsche Redensart? Wisst jemand hier was das bedeutet? "We should be more, let's be an ocean" doesn't really make much sense.........
Is there a German saying about being a sea?

Ja, wenn man es übersetzt klingt es echt ein bißchen komisch. Aber auch im Deutschen klingt es "poetisch". Es ist eine Art Wortspiel, da "mehr" und "Meer" gleich ausgesprochen werden, aber natürlich verschiedene Bedeutungen haben.
