best way to work through the course?

Hi,

beginner here just starting out with rocket german... just wondering if anyone has any tips for the best way to work through the course? I've been listening to the audio conversations (a few times each) and practicing the pronunciation regularly after each lesson. But what other ways do you practice between lessons? Do you write down vocab? How quickly do you move through the lessons and how regularly do you go back and revise? What does your revision actually involve? Do you work through the grammar lessons at the same pace as the audio lessons (i.e. finish 1.9 before moving on to 2.1) or do you treat them separately? Any advice is welcome... i'd like to do this as efficiently as possible Thanks

I basically move on to the next lesson once the conversation seems easy to me. I listen to each lesson several times until I can process it without much thought. Then I move to the next one. I'll occasionally go back and listen to previous conversations to make sure I still remember everything.

Hi Lachlan O,

Sorry for the late reply. We recommend each student to listen to the Interactive Audio Course lessons at least 3 times and then move on to the next one.
Once you have gone through the first 3-4 audio lessons you can work through the grammar notes.
When you are comfortable with the language, try using the MegaGames software to solidify your learning and get more practice. As you work through the course, try doing a few Survival Kit lessons - these are not in any particular order however they contain bonus lessons with important vocabulary that you will find useful throughout the course.

Gruss

I usually alternate 1 or 2 audio lessons with 1 grammar lesson.
I usually go over the same lesson twice, then I move the next one and finally I go back to the previous one. Sometimes I go back randomly to be sure I am still familiar with the older lesson.

For me, spending 45 minutes every day is the ideal amount of time.
Unfortunately I have to skip lessons frequently due to my job; actually, as soon as I resume the course, I try to spend 45 minutes a day.
