If anyone is interested in Rock/Pop music "AK4711" is a very good all female German band. All the songs are in German, so it's good practice to sing along with!

I would also recommend listening to two relatively new bands called "Silbermond" and "Juli". Both use quite simple everyday German and are easy to understand.

You can also listen to Rammstein if you like heavier music. :)

The GREATEST German band by far is Wolfsheim and the vocalist Peter Heppner, they sing mostly in Englisch, but their German songs are some of the most beautiful written by far. Check out Vielleicht which is Heppner mit Alvarez , Kein Zurek, and Glasgarten by Heppner and Goetes Erben.

My first day with Rocket German. Hope no one minds me throwing my 2 cents in. My favorite music is Schlager. It covers nearly everything. Some of my favorite singers are Roy Black, die Flippers, Claudia Jung, Andrea Berg, Ireen Sheer (English but sings in German), Mary Roos, and many many more. The only problem is that Lyrics are poetic and some times not Gramaticaly correct, but music is fun.

Listening to music is such a relaxing way to learn a language. Does anyone know "Schnappi, das kleine Krokodil?". It is a hilariously funny song and it's easy to sing along as the lyrics are quite easy. :D
