Haven't been on this board in a long time, and this post caught my eye. I'm a confirmed Rosetta Stone debunker. I can't stand Rosetta Stone. I call it the "Bose" (the loudspeaker company) of language learning programs. Like Bose, it's all MARKETING. People think Bose and Rosetta Stone are great because of MARKETING. Rosetta Stone is a ridiculous program. You can't learn a language by only doing multiple choice exercieses! Rosetta Stone doesn't even require you to speak! Just to push buttons! And it's expensive! But at least now maybe I can maybe recognize the highly useful phrases "the man is under the donkey" and the "these fish are from the same species" and "the boy has a ball on his head."

Hi, I spent the whole night on the net rying to find a German Speaking course to take. I want to learn as much German as I can in a year, which I think i can do quite alot, but when I went on to the Rosetta Stone website I was dumbstruck at the prices of packages. I would personly say they are an outrage for what you get. I am glad I found Rocket German and are now benifitting from looking behind the marketing.
