How to say "I agree" in German

I understand that this can be said in several ways including: Ich bin damit einverstanden Ich stimme zu Ich bin Ihrer Meinung Which is best/more correct and in which circumstances are they used? Finally, why is Ihrer and not Ihre used before the feminine noun Meinung?

Hey John, "I understand" is "Ich verstehe". "I agree with that" is "Ich bin damit einverstanden". "ich stimme zu" and "Ich bin einverstanden" is "I agree". "Ich bin Ihrer Meinung" is "I agree with you" in the meaning of "I share your opinion". The possessive adjective "Ihr" changes according to the gender and case of the noun it refers to. You are right "Meinung" is feminine and in "Ich bin Ihrer Meinung" the word "Ihrer" is the polite femine form of the genitive case. Take a look at the conjugation of "ihr" in the lesson 7.6 Talking About Yours or Mine - Part 2 Gruß Paul
