I am from India and have been having fun learning from your courses. I would like to know how the passiv voice is formed. Does it mean using the 'sein' verb for all Present Perfect forms (even where the same are not supposed to form their PP forms with 'sein'?
e.g. Does 'Ich habe den Brief geschrieben' become 'Den Brief ist geschrieben'? Is it right? Or is there some other theory?

Abishek,
There are 2 passive voice structures. One is the processual passive and the other is the statal passive. They are formed by a conjugation of werden and sein (with a past particple), respectively.
Processual Passive - empahsis on the process
Statal Passive - emphasis on the end result or "state"
The cars are manufactured in Munich./Die Autos werden in Muenchen verfertigt. (processual)
The books are written in German/Die Buecher sind auf Deutsch geschrieben (statal)
