What is the difference between einzuholen and einholen? Dank, Ralph

The meaning is basically the same, it's just the grammar. So depending on when and how you use it you would either say "einholen", which is the basic form of the verb (Infinitive) or "einzuholen". Ich have versucht dich einzuholen - I have tried to catch up with you (in a race). Ich muss ihn einholen - I have to catch up to him ( in a race) Does that help?
