Hi i am a bit confused with the word jump is it "hupfen" or "spring" can you help thanks

Hi there, "Hüpfen" and "springen" can both mean to jump. However "hüpfen" can also mean to hop. Grasshoppers "hüpfen" whereas horses "springen" over a fence, for example. :D
